Green Sangha is located on 11 acres, surround by hundreds of acres of protected tree farm land. Shinglemens Creek meanders through out the property creating a sweet song for you to enjoy. The property is hilly which offers more privacy for guest to be nestled into their private campsites. Each campsite has its own fire pit. There is an airstream camper that is your restroom facility and communal space. Bowdoinham is small town. The property is a couple miles from the downtown area which has one bar-restaurant, grocery and gas. Bowdoinham is one of the best organic food producers in the state and you has access to 10 different local farms. The Cathance River has a public boat dock if your bringing a boat or kayaks/ canoes. I do have Kayaks and canoes for rent as well. The property also has a wood fired sauna (requires booking and an additional fee) with an epic cold stream right next to.Parking is 50 feet from your campsite. This campsite is on top of a hill south facing with a gorgeous view of the stream and swimming hole. It has some crushed stone on top dirt for drainage with leveled flat dry area for a tent and a fire pit. There is an airstream camper with a composting toilet as your bathroom. The living space within the airstream is a communal area for guests during the day. The kitchen, sinks, bathtub are not hooked up intentionally as the airstream is only meant as a bathroom facility and for enjoying the common interior living spaces. There a beautiful stream with swimming hole if you want to swim or bathe in. For an additional fee, you may schedule a time for our wood fired sauna and do a cold plunge into the stream if you like. Hiking in and around the property is a dreamscape.. Private yoga lessons are also available, I have teaching and practicing for nearly 30 years and love to share the practice. Given that this site is not super close to any beach, we were excited to hear that there was a swimming hole near the campsite. Unfortunately, it was a little bit unclear as to where it was located. Nearby, there is a small stream, but it does not look clean, especially after rain. This site would do better with more clear signage. This goes for the amenities inside the airstream camper too, which also did not feel super clean for new guests. We had chosen this campsite because we thought it would be fairly private since it is on private residential property; however, the actual campsite was not as private as we hoped. It was very open, and well in view of the host's house and the second campsite. Even though we were alone, we felt very easily seen since the camping site is not surrounded by trees or anything. For the price of this site, we expected more privacy compared to busier, public campsites. Lastly, we never actually met the host, who seemed very nice, but I think we were alone on the property for the entire duration of our stay. It would have been nice to meet them in person if we had any questions about the site, or to have security if a problem arose.

John was a great host and has a wonderful camp site! He gave us great recommendations to explore local farms, swimming spots and hikes. We'll definitely be returning!

I didn't get to stay the night but I really loved the spot. The stream is beautiful and the land around the sites is super cool. You can hear the frogs at night and watch the deer during the day. You can also mine for gemstones in the forest which was probably my favorite part. Your host, John, is the coolest! I got to watch some of the campsites being made and experienced great hospitality from him. He was quick with communication and made it easy to set up a time for the sauna.
