This house is now 1 of 2 vacation rentals on the property. You will definitely notice the home's unique architecture as soon as you walk in. You will not find another home like this nor the massive 50 ft+ rock wall that provides cover to back side of the house.
In 2016, after more than 50+ years operating as a working cattle ranch (Brookins Ranch) and a viewing attraction for Adelaida Wine Trail travelers, the property was unfortunately shut down and put up for sale.
As a born and raised local, I had to purchase the property with the hopes of restoring it to its greatest and to allow others to enjoy what it has to offer. Since March 2017, my family and I have been working hard on the restoration - attempting to keep a lot of it's uniqueness while integrating modern technologies that will help expand the property's life. As such, we welcome you to come enjoy the experience as we continue to bring this property back to life!Physically built into the hillside, "The Rock Loft" is 1 of our 2 vacation rentals located on 16 acres at the start of the famous Adelaida Road Wine Trail. Just 4 miles from the Paso Robles Event Center & Fairgrounds. This beautiful property is surrounded by rolling hills of native Oak Trees and Manzanita. Start your wine tasting journey at our neighbors, Alta Colina Winery, and lunch at Mt. Olive Organic Farm. This fully remodeled rock loft is right in the center Paso Robles' best assets.

Awesome vacation spot!
This was an amazing place to stay. The loft is well prepared and has everything you need while you’re there. The guest book has tons of recommendations and ideas for you while you’re here. Would absolutely stay again. Our dog loved running around the property.

Absolutely a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Very clean and with all the touches of home. We barbecued both nights we were there rather than going out for dinner. We’ll be back for sure!

A Wine Country Gem

The Rock Loft is A-1, and we would love to return when our travels bring us back to the area. While being close to town in Paso Robles, the loft is a true escape. I particularly loved the view of golden rolling hills from the bedroom windows, the serene longhorn cattle that dot the landscape, and the rock wall inside the cabin. From the broad accommodation to the small touches, the loft is a beautiful modern rustic home.

Best trip ever
With pets
We didn’t end up staying in the Rock Loft due to renovations needed from the recent rain, but Alicia was so accommodating and we instead stayed in the next door 2 bedroom lodge. It was incredible!! From what we saw of the Rock Loft, it is beautifully decorated and looks like a total oasis. The property itself was great as well. My dog enjoyed having room to roam and watching the cows in the morning. Speaking of the cows, Phillip introduced us to all the cows and let us brush and pet them - baby Rusty was our favorite ❤️. We loved the location of the property, there’s a handful of wineries within a mile and it’s just a quick drive into downtown.
I really hope to see the lodge posted on here in the future because it would be a fun family trip to book both units. I will definitely be back!

Wine Weekend Getaway
The loft was very beautiful and clean. It had everything that my boyfriend, dog and I needed to be happy and comfortable. It was close to many wineries, but not safe to walk. Thank you Alicia for being a great host and being so responsive.

This was our second time staying at the rock loft and it was even better then the first time! Alicia goes above and beyond to make the space welcoming and fun. It is the perfect place to get away, relax and enjoy Paso. We loved waking up and seeing the long horns, turkeys and friendly cat. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
