2 nights at Royal Heart Hill

We had a wonderful time tent camping here! It was a very private and serene space, with access to some creature comforts like a warm shower. There was a permanent awning installed at the site which we set our tent up under, but you could put your tent elsewhere.

Weekend Trip to Applegate Century Farm

Perfect serene stopover spot on a roadtrip! Private campsite by a creek PLUS a private full bathroom (electricity and plumbing!) up a little path. So cute! I will stop here every chance I get. Wonderful night’s sleep. Safe and quiet while only minutes from I-5. Unbelievably great find.

Weekend Trip to Royal Heart Hill

Awesome site! Felt totally safe and it was such beautiful surroundings. We will definitely keep this spot in mind next time we're in the area. Word of warning that it is a little difficult to find in the dark and hard to turn around, so go slower and look for the signage more closely than you may think you need to.

This campground is beautiful, well maintained and very clean. The showers are wonderful and the dishes sink is great. The camp host was super friendly and very informative.

Weekend Trip to Umpqua's Last Resort

Everything about Umpqua National Forest and Umpqua's Last Resort was awesome. My glamping spot had everything I needed and more. The people here are awesome, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Thank you Stephan and Seth for making me feel welcome. I took a waterfall tour with Seth which was the highlight of my stay. The waterfalls were roaring. Took a couple trips to the Umpqua Hot Springs, also awesome. The gas station/convenience store/market next door has all the essentials. I'll be back!

My partner and I absolutely loved staying at the Icosa Dome. The wood burning stove inside really made the whole experience incredibly cozy. They have a beautiful bathroom space for guests that was very clean, probably one of the best bathroom spaces I have experienced on HipCamp. They also have two adorable dogs that love to say hello, which is a great bonus!

We were just there for a spot to sleep. But it was great. Very quiet. There was a pond, my 5 year old was stoked to see salamanders. It was easy to get to.

2 nights at Ruby’s Cabin

Beautiful location. Thoughtfully set up for visitors. Everything was super clean and as described. Hosts were friendly but not intrusive. You can tell a lot of hard work and love went into the place.

1 night at Bamboo Forest Campsite

I would recommend camping here it’s super close to town yet far away enough to not hear many cars and to really get the camping experience. The site itself is super pretty with tall bamboo all around and pretty lights to light up paths, etc. The bathroom like others have said definitely has a ton of spooky spiders in it though so be cautious. I’d note is that the camp site is incredibly damp/ muddy so I definitely recommend putting your tent on the platform given. Overall I think if you are looking for a campsite with a lot to explore this isn’t the campsite for you but if you are looking for a cozy stay, with running water, an outside oven and a pretty surrounding I would recommend this site!

Wonderful! Very Peaceful! Love the warmth of a wood burning stove. Great place to let the dogs run around. Great cabin. Very well built and clean. I loved being unplugged!

The dome was awesome. We were very warm with the wood stove going all evening. A great break from reality. Weather rained mostly so we didn’t explore much, but was a great place to crash after a day exploring the city. The dog camp greeter was an extra treat.

Nicely set up, private camp in trees, very quiet. Nice and dark. Carly was quick to communicate and reply. It is a small circle turnaround, a little tight for our 22ft campervan but definitely doable. We appreciate the new rock layer on the roadbed.

Great quick getaway! Close to the beach and can hear waves, especially at night. Host is transparent about the road noise but it gets pretty quiet in the evenings and at night so it didn’t really bother us. Lots of space to set up camp, close to amenities, nice hosts (not onsite). Would recommend!

My family of 4 loved staying in the yurt! The yurt alone was well kept and comfortable. It is attached to the house by a door that locks on both sides. It feels private and has a full private bathroom attached between the house and the yurt. The entire property is fun for children. I have a 10yo, 9yo and 5yo. They romped in the forest, built forts in the rain and enjoyed spending time with the host family. The host family went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We enjoyed the fire-pit for s’mores and family friendly animals. We were close to the ocean, sand dunes, old town Florence, a beautiful lighthouse, etc. Eugene is an hour away for a day trip. We highly recommend staying here!

Glenada was incorporated in 1912 and disincorporated in 1922 after the town's sawmills burned. This side of the river was pretty bustling before the Siuslaw bridge was built in 1936, being quite a transformative event considering the ferry from Glenada to Florence was the main way across the river. River View is located up on Glenada mountain, on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood bundles and farm-fresh eggs available for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you have your own porta-potty set up. This is a beautiful rustic property close enough to Hwy 101 to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! Learn more about this land: River View is located on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere. We have 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land just below the campsite. This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway but once at the top, it is flat and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red tail hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). Walk down to Old Town for dinner or bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Pricket state park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by! No bathroom or running water but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available.

Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. Royal Heart Hill

*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown Cottage Grove and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is located by the green Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit and electrical outlet. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

11 Mile River Camp

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

Sit on the porch and enjoy the solitude only minutes from Oakridge. Grocery store, etc... all available in Oakridge. Beautiful, safe and secluded. Elk, deer, and other forest critters live here too. This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles. We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.** Please be our guests, relax, and enjoy!
