Our beautiful unique property has been in the family for 3 generations. Over the years, our family, plus artists, musicians, & writers have come here to refresh and get inspiration from nature. But with Hipcamp, we've opened up for others to enjoy.
We have walking trails, a pond where you can kayak, relax on the dock, or feed the huge fish (sorry no fishing allowed.) Also, on our property, there are swings, a tree house deck, obstacle course, fire pit area, wooden bridge, picnic table, and abundant bird life. There's also plenty of wide-open space where you can play frisbee, run, do yoga, and stargaze at night.
There's plenty to do in this area, using the farm as your base. Claxton, our hometown, is a great friendly, small-town with grocery and hardware stores and restaurants. Many guests like to side-trip over to the towns of Statesboro, Metter, Vidalia, and Savannah, plus the Golden Isles.
Bliss Hills Farm offers a serene and tranquil camping experience with its beautiful surroundings and spacious campsites. Guests frequently praise the welcoming and helpful hosts, Mike and Karen, along with their friendly dog, Ava. The property features a picturesque lake, walking trails, and the fun of feeding large catfish. While the site is peaceful and private, some guests noted that the dirt road can become muddy after rain.
Our hosts were amazing! We loved staying at Bliss and the property was everything we were looking for- but the cherry on top was the amazing Ava, the sweetest dog imaginable who brightened each and every day.
My husband and I needed a stopover somewhere. We were slightly concerned considering it is someone’s property, and we are pretty private people. This place was so peaceful, perfectly spaced out, Mike the host was very nice and helpful and made sure we fed his very large catfish in their pond. We will definitely remember them and will plane at least a two night stopover.
Loved meeting and chatting with the hosts, Michael and Karen . They were warm and helpful. Their property is beautiful ! If you are looking for serenity , peace and beauty , this is the place for you !
Once again we had the most amazing time at Bliss Hills Farm. Karen and Mike are the most incredible hosts ever and who wouldn't love Ava the Wonder Dog?
From our hosts to Ava to the peace and quiet we can't imagine a better spot to camp!
