We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

nice little secluded spot! got the whole place to ourselves for our getaway. always greeted by the friendliest dog ever when we left and came back. super hot water. everything was very clean. overall a great location :)

Lovely spot right by the River on Paul's land. My friend and I pitched our tents on site #2 and had plenty of space to enjoy while also being completely seperated from the other sites.
This space offers the ease of car camping with the feel of backcountry - aside from the noise of cars near by (which didnt not bother us in the slightest, especially when sleeping at night)
I would love to stay here again and am so thankful that Paul has created this space to share with others.

Derrick and Rachel's place is absolutely incredible! Such a great escape from the city! Its peaceful but also has options for activites like canoeing and swimming and games! They have everything you can think of from lighters to lamps! We will definately be coming back to stay!

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
We had a great stay thanks to Rachel and Derrick at the Algonquin Glamping Dome! Amazing views of the surrounding lake and a lot of amenities. We really appreciated the attention to detail and guiding us throughout the property on first arrival. Felt serene to enjoy nature in complete isolation. Thank you Rachel and Derrick!

What an absolute treasure this place is! Beautifully appointed, completely serene and so peaceful! We loved our stay and thankfully the weather was perfect! Only thing I would note is we would’ve liked to be notified that the sauna and shower are located up by the main cottage near the road but other than that just perfect!

Second time up to Maple Rivers Log cabins, Sequin, Parry Sound. Was there last year. Cabin 3, Dariusz,s 3 cabins are set in a beautiful, serene setting surrounded by a mixed forest, of pines, maples, Birch..., they are off grid, nicely spaced , in the center a large community fire pit. Trails to follow to a deep gorge, shower, large fridge freezer to share with fellow hip camper,s, Large BBQ, outdoor sink, kitchen area to wash dishes. Some dishes to use. Garbage container. Pit toilet never smells. The host's friendly dog "Daisy" comes to play fetch with balls or sticks., Maple lake is 20 mins away as is Orrville general store. And Rousseau. Dariusz is very friendly host always willing to answer questions, fix any concerns. His wife is of great help as well. I highly recommend Maple Rivers Log Cabins, and will keep going back. Thank you Dariusz for your hospitality. Thanks for your company Daisy girl. And Tito, Daisy will teach you well. Blessings

I loved my stay at the cabin! Although there is no electricity from the grid, Dariusz uses propane and solar cells to equip the camp with a fridge/freezer, hot water, and light, which I really liked. I loved Daisy, their female Border Collie; she protects the visitors during the nights by sleeping under one of the cabins, and she is a lovely companion during the day! Bring a ball, she loves playing with other dogs with the ball. My dog and I really enjoyed our week there: fresh air, quiet and rustic place, lots of hiking opportunities around, and off-leash walks/play on the property. Will definitely return next year.

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
Cozy, romantic, fun, peaceful, and beautiful are just a few adjectives that I would use to describe ALG. Derrick & Rachel are phenomenally thoughtful and responsive hosts. Our only regret with choosing ALG for our anniversary is that we didn’t book a longer stay! Lots of wildlife and adventure nearby too.

Thank you for hosting us this weekend. You have a beautiful property, site #1 was absolutely spectacular. We had an amazing time despite the fire ban. At night, we still enjoyed just watching the river. We can't wait to return. The property is extremely well maintained, clear signage directing you. Swimming hole was very refreshing. Even the dog had so much fun. Only caution for other travelers, Bell/Telus very poor cell reception if you are relying on coverage. Other than that, 10/10. Thanks again.

We loved our stay at the dome! The lake was the perfect temperature for swimming and the some offered great views of the night sky. We hope to be back again soon.

The location was amazing. The river is calm that you won't know where upstream vs downstream is. The sites are also far enough from each other giving a sense of privacy and isolation. Just note that there is no proper toilet or porta potties, but that's part of the experience.
Our only issue was the the host was not responsive at the time we got to the site. We also wanted to get an extension if possible, but no response.
Note that it was a long weekend and that may be the reason.
Still, it was a great experience.

Great stay camping on Paul’s land. Paul came and chatted with us for a bit, and he was very friendly and welcoming. The spots are clearly marked, which made it easy to find our campsite. We had site #3, which was just a few steps to the beautiful Irondale river. We swam, kayaked and fished in the river, and it was all great. Our site had room for our tent, canopy, two cars, and it had lots more room to set up games and such. Our site also had an outdoor toilet, but we brought a camping toilet to use instead. We wore the mosquito repellent stickers on our clothes for the first time and will not camp without them again, as they worked very well. Furnace falls was just a few minute drive from Paul’s land, and had beautiful views. There’s a town with some stores and places to eat not far from Paul’s land, which was where I was able to get service on my phone. Overall, we had a great stay on Paul’s land and would definitely recommend it. We’ll be back for sure :)

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
We found a little piece of paradise! Although we wanted to keep this hidden gem to ourselves, we just can't stop thinking and talking about the wonderful time we had at Derrick and Rachel's dome! Amazing, serene, awe inspiring, perfect blend of nature and nurture (loved the sauna and water sports equipment). There are not enough words to describe this unique place. Check in was quick and our hosts so kind, the dome is so beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Having the campfire and a gas BBQ was wonderful and so convenient but our favorite place to hang out was on the pontoon/ deck. From there we watched the fog move out over the lake in the early morning, we sunbathed and took a dip into the lake to cool off during the day, waited for the sun to set in the evening. It was glorious... We will be back!!!

1 night at Maple Rivers Log Cabins
This cabin is exactly what I needed. Just a slight glamp in the middle of the trip allowed me to reset and these cabins were perfect for it. There is no electric here of any sort so don’t plan on plugging anything in.
Simple yet so much more fun than setting up a tent. Again. Bravo

Weekend Trip to Maple Rivers Log Cabins
Hidden gem! Dariusz was very quickly with responses, last minute we booked 2 cabins and both were incredible, there’s everything you can need here if you are unprepared, it’s quiet and even a friendly dog comes by every now and then, very nice dog and listen very good if you see the dog throw a stick, it loves fetch. Clean cabins, the outhouse was very clean as well. Highly recommend going here if you’re looking for a quiet but convenient get away. About 10 mins away is maple lake which had public access and you should go to as well!

Riverview Getaway was absolutely perfect for our girls Getaway.The site Paul chose for us was amazing, very large site that accommodated us 7 ladies and beautiful view of the river. The swimming area is small but nice beach sand to walk into the river and swim. We kayaked everyday. The Irondale River is an easy paddle and beautiful. Paul is a wonderful host and made sure everything was perfect. We would definitely come back. Thank you Paul. Cheers.
PS...the fry truck in Irondale (Ted's Burger Wagon) was delicious and only 4 minute drive away.
