Immerse yourself in a one of a kind glamping experience in Algonquin Highlands, where you can reconnect with nature amidst Ontario’s vast forests and freshwater lakes all while in the comfort of a unique stargazing geodesic dome. Unlike traditional camping, the dome offers almost 300 square feet of tranquil living space, a plush king size bed, a wood burning stove, a cozy seating area and a skylight for mesmerising stargazing views. Wake up to the echoing calls of loons and take in the stunning vistas of the Algonquin Highlands from your secluded lakeside retreat! This exclusive dome is uniquely situated on the serene ‘Louie’ lake, surrounded by pristine crown land forests. With no neighbours for miles, you’ll enjoy unparalleled solitude and tranquility, making it the perfect escape into nature. Nestled between Algonquin Provincial Park and the Muskokas, there is an abundance of nearby activities and attractions for nature lovers alike including hiking and biking trails, fishing, and captivating wildlife viewing and photography opportunities (Especially the fall colours and Northern lights). Escape to the perfect fusion of nature and modern comforts that awaits you!Inspired by portaging in Algonquin park’s breathtaking interior landscapes, we purposefully designed the dome with no electricity and WiFi to encourage our guests to disconnect and fully immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and connect with each other. Relax and unwind on the spacious dock as you watch the sunrise over the Highlands, the mist hovering over the lake while sipping on a delicious cup of coffee. The dome is fully equipped with a new king size bed (chair converts to a single bed), fresh luxury beddings, solar powered pot lights, flashlights/lanterns, and a cozy eating and seating area by a wood burning stove. And just like traditional camping, a private fire pit with muskoka chairs is located outdoors along with a picnic table and a propane BBQ to cook your meals (guests must bring their own stove burner and cooler for food storage). There is a seasonal shower, sauna and newly built private outhouse just outside the dome for your convenience. Enjoy the serenity of the lake on a paddle board, kayak or canoe. A bundle of complimentary firewood per night stay will be provided, if you require more, please order and purchase ahead of time. An outdoor fridge located by the main cabin porch is available to store your food, as well as an electrical outlet by the fridge and in the shower room to charge your phones if needed (we recommend you bring power banks to charge up). Spend a day in Algonquin Provincial park which is a short drive away where you can explore a variety of trails and activities, or visit Algonquin’s Visitor Centre, Logging Museum and Art Centre. You could also visit the Muskokas and the quaint town of Dorset to visit the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower for breathtaking 360 views of the fall colours or take a cruise on the historic S.S. Bigwin steamship touring Lake of Bays.

Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
Hidden Gem
This was our very first time camping! We camped with a 4 year old and a 6 month old and it was AMAZING!!!!! From the bed to the seating area with the views there was nothing in the DOME that was not cozy and chic! The outdoor space and water access was great and my kid loved the doc, water, animals and views! We definetly over packed as Darren & Rachel had everything we needed and so much more! Marshmellows, graham crackers, chocolate and even the roasting sticks my 4 year old was estatic to stay the least. Thanks for making our first experience memorable, cozy and fun. The indoor board games were great too as it rained the first night we stayed. The owners were very easy to get in touch with and very kind. Thanks for sharing this sweet gem of a location, we couldnt have had a better 1st time glamping experience.

Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
Incredible! Didn't want to leave!
Darren and Rachel's dome on the water was everything and more then what we were looking for. This place was an absolute gem. We both love back country camping and being off the grid when we go camping but this summer we were a little to busy to plan a backcountry trip. We booked here stayed for 2 nights and although we were really camping in luxury it still gave us that algonquin backcountry itch with a muskoka cottage feel. The dome was so beautiful inside and everything seemed to be well thought out. We loved just relaxing on the dock all day and then hitting the sauna at night, grab a shower and stargazing inside the dome at night. Rachel was very attentive with responding and helped out so much with changing our plans to escape a rainy trip. We will definitely be back! One of our best trips ever!

Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
A true one-of-kind gem located in the middle of Algonquin Highlands! This was the perfect getaway for my little family. I stayed here with my husband and 21 month old and automatically was floored by the beautifully decorated dome and amazing views. I was shocked at the fact that we basically had an entire lake to ourselves (there are no other cottages/homes located on this lake) and at how affordable the dome was in comparison to others I’ve seen on Airbnb and other vacation rental websites. The dome itself was decorated and furnished charmingly, with boho chic and vintage pieces. Inside, we had access to a king bed, dining and seating area overlooking the lake as well as a fireplace, which came in handy at night when the temperatures dropped. We loved how clean the dome was as well. It was clear the hosts put a lot of thought into the needs of “glampers”, providing everything we needed in the dome from flashlights, to drinking water, to board games, etc. I appreciated that framed instructions were nearby as a reference to locate what we needed or find out how to operate items. Regarding activities, we were able to paddle board, swim, and lounge on the lake as we had access to all necessary equipment. I was even pleasantly surprised and grateful an infant life jacket was available for my daughter! I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an elevated camping/glamping experience.
