Past trips
Artsy Bunk-House
in Ithaca Artsy Bunkhouse, New YorkWe had a very brief stay at the Artsy Cabin but it was very comfortable. Itâs cozy and welcoming. We did not get a chance to walk the trails by the house but it seems like a great place to explore. Richard has a nice description of places to go and things to see nicely printed out for guests, super helpful!
Pond Site
in Center Pond Farm, MaineOverall we had a good stay at Leviâs Pond site. It is in close proximity to fabulous Popham beach and other areas of interest. It worked well for us as we had plans to visit friends. If one was to spend more time at the site you have to be prepared to endure the mosquitos! They were really aggressive at all times of the day. Although the site was sloped we found a relatively flat spot to put our tent looking out at the pond which had great bird watching. Great walks in a land preserve are easily accessed from the site too. Campers should also know that there is a main rd close to the site and the traffic is easily heard.
Shrekâs Mountaintop Stone Hut
in Green Mountain Trails, VermontSuper charming!
We really enjoyed our visit to this charming stone hut. From the start Mattâs communication was clear and informative. The hike in was enjoyable and the trails were well marked. Once there, we had everything we needed to enjoy a cozy evening cooking on the stovetop and hanging out in the warmth. One thing to note is that the wood was very green and not dry so getting the fire to the point of throwing some heat was challenging. Overall, this was a lovely visit and yes, the sunrise was lovely.
