The property used to be for seasonal farm workers in the area but now have long term tenants.
You will find a couple manufactured homes and a house, and all who live there are very friendly and have lived on the property for many years.
The guy who lives in the house repairs RV's and sells them. You won't find anything fancy here just a functional space with nice neighbors.

Hello. My name is Tamara and my husband is Andy. We bought this place in 2022 with the goal of raising animals humanely and providing good food options to purchase at reasonable prices. After moving to Ontario I noticed there are not many good options for nighttime sleep. I fondly remember camping with our kids in a location we named Neverland. We decided we wanted to create that for people. That’s why we joined Hipcamp. We have several sites that range from close to the house and bathroom access to remote in a field with the sounds of the creek to lull you to sleep. To increase safety and aid in positive memory making, only one group is allowed at a time. We have lots of space so whether you are a lone traveler, a family, or a group of friends looking to make memories consider staying with us and our animals. We generally have goats, chickens, and pigs. From July to October we have pheasants. Oh, and we have Cheese, our patrol duck, who wanders and keeps an eye on everything. He loves treats. Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. There is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present.
A small, creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Water is clearer during the winter and spring months. The spots I have cleared in this area are small. I recommend tent camping in this area. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field; they are shy. We have goat treats available for sale if you would like to feed them.
Oregon has an invasive, poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant. If you wander along the creek, you will encounter it.

🚙We have 3 RV parking sites nestled on an acre of land with an indoor riding arena. Each site has 3 individual 30/50 amp electrical hookups and 3 water hydrants. No septic service. Kuna City Park has service for RV and travel trailers. Parking is on a leveled gravel driveway with fenced-in grass pastured on either side of your site. You can pull in or back into the sites, with plenty of room to maneuver. We are surrounded by farms and during the spring and summer there is tractor traffic during the day. The Snake River is just 10 miles south of us and Lake Lowell is 5 miles to the North. Boise is an easy 30-minute drive downtown.

Sweet Pepper Ranch is a small-scale horse ranch in the high desert of southwestern Idaho. We are nestled in a rural agricultural setting yet close to stores and conveniences. We raise and train horses and work all day to exercise and train our horses as well as run the day-to-day aspects of running a large horse property.
Our equestrian facilities include individual paddocks with attached runs (12’ x 52’), automatic waterers, feeders, rubber stall mats, a 200' x 300' outdoor sand arena, a 72’ x 120’ indoor arena, two round pens (one large), numerous trail obstacles, large-scale permanent outdoor obstacles, an outdoor washrack, as well as parking, port-a-potty, arena bleachers, and picnic table areas.
Nearby activities abound from visiting rodeos and wineries to trail riding at sunset near waterfalls or hiking painted desert canyons. There are wildlife refuges to visit, hot springs to relax in, wilderness mountains to explore, scenic rivers to raft, railways to travel along--and North America’s largest concentration of breeding raptors to dazzle you.

The property used to be for seasonal farm workers in the area but now have long term tenants.
You will find a couple manufactured homes and a house, and all who live there are very friendly and have lived on the property for many years.
The guy who lives in the house repairs RV's and sells them. You won't find anything fancy here just a functional space with nice neighbors.

Great spot close to Boise but felt like we were in the country. Grandkids loved playing by the pond. We went in October so water was low in the pond and beach was muddy in places but kids had a ball and mud washes off. We liked The Willows campsite by the willow tree. Loved listening to the little creek that runs behind that site. Driveway to campground has quite a slope but we had no trouble driving our 27’ rv back up. Woke up to see cows in the pasture behind the campground. Also saw two cranes.

My son and I spent two days at Cagle Cove, The Aspens site and had a great time. We are definitely going back. It feels very secluded. You hear some birds, occasional cow and some roosters in the morning. The sites are spacious and very clean. The ground is flat with no rocks or roots to worry about, so tent placement is quick and easy. We were in a 3-person tent with a 10x10 canopy and even had room for our Yukon XL. The owners kept a fresh stockpile of firewood they sell for $5 a bundle, and these logs are big, they’re dry and burn quite a long time. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway to recharge, get a good nights rest, cook over a campfire, and see a sky full of stars, this is the place. You can splurge and bring the good steak, because this place is a deal.

About
Come here to relish the nearby Owyhee Reservoir's alligator green lake and chromatically vibrant volcanic designs. The 15-mile dirt road through Jordan Valley and Leslie Gulch is a sign. It means you're far away from civilization.
You can't even get cellphone reception in this park. The steep, brown walls of the gorge rise up on either side of you. Imagine millions of years ago when this creek was a huge inland river carving this landscape.
Look for thundereggs, which are Oregon's state rock. These are spherical geodes that have crystalline minerals inside. Crack them open carefully. As you hunt for thundereggs, look out for raptors (the bird kind), bighorn sheep, and mule deer.
Your rustic campsite serves as a great launching point for longer hikes. Check out the Honeycombs area or Painted Canyon.
Notable campgrounds
- Four primitive sites on the west side of the creek offer an intimate connection with nature.
- Fourteen primitive campsites on the east side provide a serene escape amid the rugged landscape.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Arrive early, as camping is first-come, first-served and spots fill quickly.
- Prepare for self-sufficiency, as there are no water or cell services available.
- Check road conditions before your trip, as the access road is unpaved and rough.
- Explore nearby camping options in case Succor Creek is full upon your arrival.
When to go
Succor Creek State Natural Area is open year-round, but the best time to visit is during the spring and fall when temperatures are moderate. Summer can be extremely hot, and winter may bring challenging road conditions.
Know before you go
- Prepare for remote conditions; there are no pay phones or cell service, and no staff on-site.
- Access is via a 15-mile dirt road; ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain.
- Bring all necessary supplies, including water, as none is available in the park.
- Respect the natural area; limited souvenir collecting by rock hounds is permitted.
- Be aware of wildlife and practice safe viewing from a distance.

Been here twice now. Beautiful canyon with red rocks shooting from both sides. A great place to camp, hike, and explore. Lots of geodes in the area. I've heard it gets hot here (and you need to watch out for ticks). I have always gone in early spring. They upgraded the bridge at the campground so all of the sites on the other side are now accessible by car as well. I have also backpacked here. You can hike in on the right side maybe 1.5 miles max. But nice if you want to backpack a bit to get away from the parking lot crowd.

My husband and I camped there by the creek in 1966. There wasn't andy camp ground then. We made our own camp fire ring with rocks found there. there was a tunnel across the creek. A big rock near our tent. A couple and their son camped on the other side of the rock. they were form New York. We were from Portland, Or. Our youngest child was 4, our son was 8, and two more girls 10 and 12. We had a wonderful time there. found geodes and thunder eggs up a road . Went back again about 19 or 20 years later and it hadn't changed. Thanks so much for posting these pictures and video's.
