It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. I am a teacher, guide, artist, and healer. This land is sacred and magical. It is used to heal, restore, inspire and rejuvenate many locally and internationally.

They're relatively quiet, but you may hear them, during the day, as they're laying. We also have one dog, but she is in the white fenced in area and is very friendly. There are flower beds, flowering trees, bushes and wildflowers scattered among the property. If you come at the right time of year, you'll see all the beautiful blooms. We also have wild blackberries, blueberry bushes and scuppernong vines. Feel free to forage on those while you're with us. There is a lot of wildlife you could potentially see while staying here such as squirrels, chipmunks, beautiful birds of all kinds, lots of butterflies, owls, red tailed hawks, armadillos, racoons and even foxes. After a heavy rain, you will hear our small creek trickling. We have unlimited tent camping sites, with access to a water hose only. They are located down the hill, to the back of our property. Our one back in pad is located house. 30 foot maximum length rig. We also have one boondocking gravel pad available, with no hookups, that is located across the driveway from our house. Quiet hours are from 10pm until 6am. Absolutely no discharging of firearms allowed at any time. Alcohol is permitted, for those 21 and older, as long as the noise level and behavior don't become a nuisance. There will be no tolerance for use of illegal drugs. Dogs are allowed as long as they aren't aggressive and not allowed to roam outside of our property. Please be sure to clean up after them. Our cute, quaint little town of Wetumpka is only 5 miles down the road. It was featured on HGTV's Hometown Takeover in 2021, was featured in the movie Big Fish and is a picture perfect town, with many locally owned shops and restaurants. It's located right on the Coosa River, where you can kayak in the summer, launch your boat or fish year round. There's also a fantastic park with a nice walking trail that goes along the river. Stop in at Coosa River Craft House or Coosa Cleaver for refreshing adult beverages and live music. Look for the Big Fish house. It's the big white house on the hill. We are 10 minutes from Lake Jordan and 30 from Lake Martin. Fort Toulouse National Historic Park is 15 minutes away. There you can tour over 6,000 years of history. You can tour the French and American Forts or the Mississippian Indian Mound site, or just relax and take a walk along the trails. Just ten minutes north of us is Swayback Bridge. There are five loop trials available, ranging from 1 miles to 11.2 miles. You can hike or bike them. The bridge is 290 feet long and does over Lake Jordan. There are many festivals that happen throughout the year in our cute little town, including the Mardi Gras Festival and Galentine's in Feb., Coosa Palooza Brewfest in April, the River and Blues Music and Arts Festival in July, the Coosa Candy Crawl in Oct., and Christmas on the Coosa in Dec. Wind Creek Casino is only 6 miles from our property, if you want to chance your luck with some gaming. We are 20 miles from Montgomery, which is jam packed with civil rights historical sites, museums, a zoo, fabulous restaurants, a riverboat cruise on the Alabama River, a sip and cycle pedal boat cruise, and a white water rafting park.

Location: 6 minutes from Dollar General 8 minutes from "Union" Public boat ramp on Lake Martin. 39 minutes from Jordan Hare Stadium. Description: The property is 75 feet wide and stretches 210 feet back from the road. Shaded with trees, flat, plenty of room for pitching a tent. The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions. There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. Basically a quiet place to relax, in an undeveloped neighborhood, and pretend you are in a backcountry tent site, 6 minutes from Dollar General :) War Eagle!

Tent camp or RV park on my future house site near Auburn and lake Martin. Condition: Undeveloped, no water, no sewage disposal, no electricity. Leave no trace, pack it in, pack it out. Thanks! Location: 6 minutes from Dollar General 8 minutes from "Union" Public boat ramp on Lake Martin. 39 minutes from Jordan Hare Stadium. Description: The property is 75 feet wide and stretches 210 feet back from the road. Shaded with trees, flat, plenty of room for pitching a tent. The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions. There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. Basically a quiet place to relax, in an undeveloped neighborhood, and pretend you are in a backcountry tent site, 6 minutes from Dollar General :) War Eagle!

Hidden Branch was a lovely campground in a beautiful rural area of Alabama! My wife and I have three small kids and I was camping alone this weekend to get some long planned solo time away for a couple of days. I stayed at tent site 3. I happened to be the only one at the campground the entire time I was there which made for a really quiet and peaceful couple of days, exactly what I was looking for. The campground feels very out of the way but it’s only a short drive to the next town over to get groceries, etc. It’s a beautiful, clean, well-maintained site and you can tell that Caleb and his family take pride in what they do here. Caleb’s father stopped by briefly to do a little maintenance while I was there and it was great to chat and get a few pointers from him. The campground is very well equipped with a working shower with hot water (wonderful for washing off a day’s worth of sweat and smoke from camping), strong wi-fi, electrical hookup right at my tent site, working water pumps, an outhouse bathroom, and a great little pond for fishing. I would absolutely stay here again!!

This was our third time staying at Parksland, and our first time at P3. P3 is very secluded, but it is a bit of a hike. If you travel light and don't mind a long journey downhill and then uphill on the way back, you will do fine. We definitely got a lot of exercise. We stayed for two nights, and were able to get our stuff to/from in two trips. It is very quiet and peaceful. We were able to see a lot of butterflies!

I always look forward to my Parksland trips! This was the first time I did yurt camping and the bed was so comfy! They were hosting a Fall Equinox Celebration, so there were plenty of fun activities included like morning yoga, a bonfire, a sauna session, and a cacao drink ceremony by the fire. The shower was so relaxing! Tip: Just remember, if you haul something down the hill, you have to haul it back up.

Guys this is the campsite you’ve been looking for. Clean organized and comfortable. Something for all types of campers. The private toilet stalls and showers are immaculate. The online store with fast delivery is easy and convenient. The staff is so friendly and helpful and legit just nice people. I tentatively camped solo with my dog and we were extremely comfortable and felt very safe with the locked front gate. Stayed by the pond, we were the only ones there but despite that the sites are spread out enough that it would feel private. The pond water is refreshing and calm, the wildlife sounds at night are like a song! Slept very well with a full moon. I can’t say enough good things, just stop looking at other sites and go already!

I have stayed at Parksland before. This was my first time staying in the cabin. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The cabin was cozy, although we spent most of our time at the camp center listening to music and enjoying the sauna. The trail from the parking spot to the cabin is relatively short, so it doesn't take you long to get your stuff there. Everyone, from the host to the other guests, was very friendly. We packed our own battery-operated fans, which is something I'd recommend during the warmer months. The cabin to the swimming hole has very direct access as well. You'll enjoy any of the sites on the land, but if you need something enclosed, the cabin works for that. Very welcoming location all around. Anyone who doesn't emphasize love and respect likely wouldn't be allowed back by the host.

Nice hiking trails, fire pits, shower house with hot water, Porto potty, fishing pond, and outdoor cooking station with utensils even books if you want to find a good read while you relax . Caleb and his father were very kind and responsive. We had a wonderful time. There is a store 15 min away if you need anything.

Yoda said, "Wars make not one great." Yet that's what happened to Maj. Gen. Andrew Jackson at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in Alabama. His 3,300 men attacked 1,000 members of the Red Stick Creek tribe, led by Chief Menawa. The battle ended the Creek Wars and made Jackson a national hero.

Unfortunately, 800 Red Stick warriors died during the battle. It was March 27, 1814. Jackson, also a hero of the War of 1812, would go on to be president. (He's the guy on the $20 bill.) The end of the Creek Wars meant 23 million acres became United States territory.

The battlefield itself features an open field surrounded by trees. The name comes from a horseshoe-like bend in the Tallapoosa River.

A visitor center tells you everything you need to know about the battle. You find out what led to the Creek Wars and some history of the Creek tribe. There's also a section on the War of 1812.

The battlefield holds special events twice a year. In March there's a living history event that depicts both sides of the conflict. This occurs in conjunction with the anniversary of the battle. You can tour authentic Creek, Cherokee, and U.S. military camps from the time period. Five months later in August there are living history demonstrations and guest speakers.

A 2.8-mile nature trail takes you through wooded areas and by the river. During the summer months, this jaunt offers shade from the hot summer sun. A 3-mile paved road lets you enjoy the scenery from your car.

Nearby campsites let you experience a bit of what Jackson's men and the Creek warriors went through.
