P2 Creekbend
We loved our stay! Everyone was very welcoming and the site was beautiful! There was a wonderful hiking trail that my dog loved. P2 was a bit of a walk but definitely worth it. The view of the creek and rock wall from the site was stunning! The hosts were very informative and friendly

Very welcoming and beautiful sites. We stayed at P2 and loved it but pack light if booking this site.

FF3 Hollow
Beautiful private space with a nice view of the creek. The yurt and patio were very clean on our arrival. The bed was quite comfy. I highly recommend paying extra for delivery of firewood to the campsite before your arrival as the path to get there is steep. Everyone we encountered was friendly and lovely, including Dustin. The location of the site is convenient to scenic places within Cheaha and Talladega National Forest. Bring your own food, not much dining in Talladega.

Parksland Retreat Sunrise Cabin C1
Simple Perfection
The cabin is tiny and cute but so perfect. We enjoyed our stay in nature. Very peaceful. Just enough creature comforts were offered to make one feel quite comfortable and make the stay easy.

P2 Creekbend
Beautiful time at Parksland!
This place was beautiful and very well cared for. The P2 tent site is probably the prettiest site I have ever stayed in my tent. The Host was very helpful with the shower and getting firewood. I would recommend to pack light or be prepared for a nice leg workout but it was definitely worth it. The trail down isn’t long but just fast drop in elevation, make sure if you take gear that you have a way to carry or strap it on you for easier transport. All in all it was very nice and I do recommend. The site was mostly private with tree cover surrounding the area. Yes, some people there preferred to be nude, but to each their own and a good time was had by all!

P3 Creekside
Primitive Camping with the Pups <3
I escaped hurricane Milton and booked a primitive camping site at Parklands Retreat. Dustin was very welcoming and he was a very gracious host. The property is extremely gorgeous and well maintained. Everything he has built is beautiful, clean, and well done. I stayed on Creekside P3, this site is the furthest away from others and base camp. The dogs were able to romp and frolic without worry. The site is right off the creek, so the water was quite tranquil. I would recommend this site for anyone who loves steep terrain and likes to work out their legs. Strategically pack your gear so you don’t have to make multiple trips and exhaust yourself, especially if you’re by yourself. There’s a two mile hiking loop around the land and a swimming hole. Hiking down to the site you’ll see marble peaking out, beautiful slate, and many varieties of mushrooms. Be sure to wear grippy hiking shoes/sandals because the slate is very smooth and slippery, even when it’s not wet. Basecamp is cool, there’s a mini merch shop, camping gear rentals, communal fire pit, a place to charge your phones, a place to purchase firewood (takes digital and cash payments), and much more. They provide a ruck sack to help carry the wood. It was a pleasure spending some time speaking and learning about Dustin and his plans to expand the retreat. When Dustin gets his mycology workshops up and running, I’ll be returning! Also make sure you have good suspension and or a vehicle for the trek up and down the mountain.
