Freedom Farmstay - simple, back to nature camping for FULLY self-contained travellers. CHILDREN are always FREE... We consider children to be 17 and under, if booking with teens, please list them in the 'children' section of the booking form. Quiet location on acreage in rural Baldivis (within the Perth metro area). We love our little tranquil piece of paradise... our little freedom farm, with it's beautiful natural spaces and menagerie of animals, yet close to lots of local amenities in Baldivis / Rockingham. We're just a 15min drive to the beach and 30mins to Perth city or Mandurah. We can only accommodate a small number of campers, or groups of campers, at any given time.. so you have space, solitude and security for your family/group. You MUST be fully self contained WITH your OWN TOILET. There is NO power available. Clear bore water for small tank fills can be arranged during your stay. NOTE: we do NOT have mains water and constant tap access is not available. Water refills need to be requested and you may need to wait several hours. Sites are in open paddocks with some limited shade available. Dogs are allowed ONLY if kept on lead at all times. Sites 1 & 2: Suitable for small/med vans, motorhomes, camper trailers and MINI-buses. Could fit 3 families if you're with a group. Private site for your family/group only. Site 3 (Families WITH children): Large area that can take all size vehicles including big rigs and full size buses. Could easily accommodate a dozen or so families if you have a big group. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with other families (max 12 vans across 8 spots). If you wish to book for a group, book as early as possible. Huge access gap into paddock, approx 15mtrs wide. NOTE: If you are not travelling with children please do NOT book this area!! Site 4: For any sized vehicles. Suitable for up to 6 vans if camping with a group. This is a share site, so you may be sharing with others (max 6 vans across 4 spots) If you wish to book for a group, book as early as possible. Access gap approx 10mtrs wide. Campfires are allowed during October but only in contained fire pits. Same day bookings are available BUT only BEFORE 3pm... AND you must call/text as soon as you've booked to let me know. Important NOTE: This is a WORKING hobby farm. There are tyres and poles, sand piles, fencing projects underway, etc etc. There are also many free roaming animals - our friendly farm dog, the chooks, sheep and alpaca.. along with the usually contained horses who sometimes figure out a way to sneak out for a wander! If you are looking for manicured, super flat areas or have a fear of animals - this is NOT the place for you. There are also a HUGE number of factors that can affect your stay that I have ZERO control over... The seasons change a lot of things throughout the course of the year: we have snakes (like ALL Aussie bush places) for most of the year; an assortment of insects, according to their seasons; varying growth stages of grasses - long, short, brown, green and sometimes grass seeds/prickles.. along with some crazy weather on occasion (high winds, high temps, storms) - NONE of which I have any control over.. so if you are a moaning myrtle and any of those things are likely to bother you, please don't come to our property... If you accept that you are staying on a working hobby farm / equine property and that I have no control over nature - then welcome, there is much beauty here for those who have the eyes to see - and as a base to explore the Perth area, we have a pretty convenient spot :)

Nice but……
Nice spot but worth noting that you are very close to others. Not as secluded as many hip-camps we have used.

Horsey Corner - PRIVATE site
Was a great private spot. Beautiful and green, Not great if you have hayfever, under the wattle trees. We even had free firewood upon arrival. Was so nice to feel out of the city even though your so close to it. THANK YOU!

Family Paddock, shared site
It was quiet and ample... No directions at the front or where to go once in but set up was easy on a flat surfice, once I decied to take the risk and just park anywhere I believed suitable.

Good for caravans and layovers
The campsite was quite good for our young family with the friendly animals, my daughter enjoyed feeding the horses and seeing all the different farm animals. We had a fire pit and we were able to collect wood, many pieces already right size. We do recommend having plenty of mosquito repellent. If you’re a light sleeper, due to the very close proximity of the freeway and the BP/McDonald’s, it is noisy and might not make for a good night sleep. Overall it’s a good site and probably better suited to those who are needing close access to the freeway with their caravans, which several of the folks there during our stay were, rather than looking for a close-to-home getaway. Thanks Debbie!

Relaxing paddock
Peaceful paddock with sheep and chickens. Close to lots but far enough away to allow you to completely relax in nature. We really enjoyed our week there.
