Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Quiet, peaceful area with birdlife and wildlife surroundings. Just 1 hr to 1hr 20min travel time to Spirit of Tasmania (less than 100km), 5 mins from the town centre and 6 mins to the state motorcycle track. Central Victorian country with cleared undulating paddocks or wooded areas with views of Mount Piper. Basic bush camping - no amenities so must be self-contained with own toilet and leave no trace. Pets on the application (and must be on a lead at all times). The owner lives in the house on site, and has knowledge of and contact with the state motorcycle track, has been crew onboard the Spirit of Tasmania and can provide information and assistance with vessel contacts, as well as helpful contacts in Tasmania. Some spots available near trees, but generally it's an open natural area. Other services and amenities may be available at the house with prior application. Be aware some chickens and geese roam freely around the site. Please drive slowly down driveway. Contact Host on or before arrival preferred.

Short but Sweet
This spot was perfect for my needs! While I was not able to stay long enough to properly camp (early morning flight I had to catch), it still had the camping atmosphere that I hoped for. Tren was a super kind and hospitable host, who was also interested in getting to know me and learn about my travels. I would definitely come back and stay again - and this time actually stay long enough to set up my tent. Thank you for offering your spot and being so accommodating!

Great spot (if it's your vibe)
Pros: large area of land (we weren't the only ones there but felt like we were), Tren was helpful and easily contactable, property land was nice, good location close to hume for those travelling, greeted by his dog as packed up in the morning Potential cons (depending what you're looking for): can hear noise of the hume, but not super loud. Price is comparable to an unpowered site at a caravan park (you lose out on facilities, but gain seclusion)

We only met Tren, the host briefly, but he seemed nice and welcoming. The site wasn't really suitable for our motorhome, but it was a great location for us, very close to our family and the town.

This was a lovely quiet spot. We set up near the dam and had a wonderful time slashing around in the water. The view is lovely and calming and Trent is very friendly. We will definitely come again.

This is everything you want for a night or two away. Tren the host was amazing and made the stay very enjoyable. Kids had a blast looking at the rabbits and playing fetch with the friendly dogs. Would highly recommend giving this property a try. We loved every minute of it.
