The 80-acre semi-rural property is a nature lover's paradise, boasting vast bushland teeming with native vegetation and wildlife. The property offers a tranquil retreat with the highlight being a spectacular spring-fed dam, providing a serene oasis for relaxation and recreation. The diverse ecosystem supports a variety of flora and fauna, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The property is located close to a myriad of wineries and is not far from the Yarra Valley towns of Gembrook, Yarra Junction and Warburton. Each with their own unique qualities. When travelling to the Tranquil Waters Campground it can be a little tricky. Please pay attention to the photos and map provided for directions - the address is 600 Thonemans Road, Hoddles Creek. The area is known for its beautiful walking tracks located in the Kurth Kiln national park which is only a few Km's drive. If fruit picking is something you would like to try, then Rayner Orchard located at 60 Schoolhouse Road, Woori Yallock would be a great place to visit. Its hard to go past the Gladysdale Bakehouse or Carrige Cafe in Seville for brunch/lunch if that's your thing. Alternatively you can simply relax and enjoy the peace an quite! For the fishing enthusiasts, we added 100 Golden Perch to the spring-fed dam in November 2022 - they should be about big enough to catch and have some fun with. Note: Don't camp near or directly under trees, please camp within the open areas for safety reasons.Guests will have a site area to themselves, but please note there may also be other campers on the property at the same time so this will need to be considered. Not all of the property is suitable to camping and we would strongly recommend you do not set-up camp under any trees. There is a single drop toilet on the property for all campers to use but please bring your own toilet paper and ensure it is cleaned after your stay.

Tranquil Waters Campground
Beautiful oasis
A gorgeous little oasis! The place was very well maintained with lots of different areas to spread out to ensure privacy if needed, however, we had the privilege of having the whole place to ourselves. The dam is gorgeous and the dogs had an amazing time exploring and swimming. The drop toilet was also pleasantly very well kept with no foul odours at all. Host is very helpful and detail oriented when booking and giving directions, which were clear and easy to follow.

Paradise
Beautiful! We had the place to ourselves and it was so lovely. Plenty of fire wood, a beautiful clean dam to swim in our dogs were in heaven.

Good spot. Well maintained pit toilet and site. 2wd vehicles might struggle in the wet. We got our 14' off road caravan down the bottom and back in the dry no worries. Definately pack some leveling ramps for campers or Vans, flat spots rare. But slopes are not too extreme. Large area for relatively few campers so felt private even on long weekend. Didn't see the host during our stay.

Fantastic camping spot, plenty of room to spread out. Surrounded by beautiful bushland so is a perfect spot for a long weekend camping trip with the dogs. Will visit again.

A quiet, serene getaway!
We've just spent two nights at Tranquil Waters and had a great stay! It was a large property full of beautiful gums, but plenty of spots that were clear and safe to camp under. The property is gently sloping in lots of spots, smaller tents should be able to find some flat spots but campers and caravans come preparedwith chocks to level out. It was easy enough to level out our camper so it was fine! Dry firewood was made available for purchase which was really convenient - though Jon is happy for campers to scavenge the property for more fallen logs if needed. The composting toilet was great - we have done our fair share of bush camping with long drops and this one was set up well, clean and didn't smell. The billabong/dam was beautiful, we tried our luck with the yabby nets down there but the yabbies were shy 😉 We did see a snake down there having a swim, but nothing to worry about if you leave them be! We spent the weekend with our three young boys riding their bikes, going for a bush walks and lazing around a fire with in the blissful quiet! Two other groups of people showed up but there is so much space you barely notice others. Thanks Jon for your hospitality! We had a great little escape and the best part was it was only 50 minutes from home!
