Check us out on Ig @rooted_acres_farm We are minutes from Jay Peak, swimming holes, hiking trails, and less than a 45 minute drive into Canada. This area of Vermont has snow all winter, and mud in the spring. I do my best to keep the driveway clean and most of the time there are no issues but ideally you would want 4WD and snow tires The cabin is about 300-400 feet from the driveway and house, yet it's very private in the woods. We also utilize all of our property for gardening, logging, tapping trees, bee keeping, milling, stacking and moving wood, etc., so you will probably see us during your stay. But no worries the cabin is comfortably private. There is no electricity at cabin. You should have phone reception but no wifi available.

Baby Bear’s Cabin
Everything you need
Had such a great time at the cabin. Had everything that we needed, and then some. And when we needed a fresh battery for the cooler, Jerry was on it. There have been updates to the site, so there were more amenities than we planned for. Looks like a couple more sites are being planned for, but still very private. Can't wait to come back.

Wood fired tub for the win!
Wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a soak in the wood fired tub. A little fire goes a long way with the tub, ours was still hot the next morning with the upgraded stove set up.

Amazing!
I’ve been to many HipCamps and this one may be my absolute favorite - definitely a top contender. I loved the hot tub and felt the camp set up was super convenient and thoughtful. It still felt like camping, but having the power bank, hot shower, outdoor kitchen, etc made it all feel comfortable and a bit less trouble to do things like cook, bathe, etc relative to most other sites I’ve camped at. Thanks to Jerry for sharing his land and such an amazing site with the public. I really hope to be back soon!
