We live in a beautiful valley on 30 acres, that not many people know about. We're joined by 3 friendly dogs, 4 horses, 2 alpacas, 4 Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) - Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway) Topspot and The Lookout/Highview do have coverage. Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times as we have our livestock and are surrounded by neighboring livestock, as well as the wildlife that frequently visits. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

The Laneway
Amazing spot and hosts are lovely. Our girls got to see horses and feed the cows. The property is beautiful and the welcome box was so generous. Loved the frogs in the creek singing us to sleep. Thank you. Oh and we had a koala with a baby climb down and say good morning 😀 Definitely 5 stars, thanks so much!

The Laneway
Great spot, great hosts!
Sam and Chris were great hosts, they offered us a beautiful welcome box of goodies, showed us around and gave us a couple of options for camp set up. They encouraged us to explore the view on their property and allowed us to feed their animals on the second day (super cute calves!). We would love to bring another family back, with our kids so they can meet the very friendly animals! The horses were the friendliest I have ever met :) The fire pit was great, and the toilet was homey (more than expected when camping!). The laneway sight is gorgeous, really quiet and relaxing by the creek. The view at the top of the hill is unreal, the entire location is perfect, not too far from home but still felt really secluded, private and in nature. Thank you Sam and Chris, we will be back! :)
