Perfect getaway spot in Erie!
Tent · Group trip
James’s land was amazing! It was perfectly tucked away and secluded yet a few min from civilization. Having a creek right there made for a perfect spot to rinse off or just sit and listen to the water. Not to mention having the sound of the creek at night made for the perfect nights rest.
There were multiple places you could pitch a tent throughout the property! There was a nice, large, clear spot where we were able to have an 8 person tent, a 4 person tent, a nice big fire pit and tons of space for tables of food and drinks and plenty more space for games. There was also an endless amount of firewood throughout the property!
It is a bit of a hike to get there though once parked. I’d guess around a half mile at most one way. It’s all downhill to get to the spot and all uphill leaving. There are a couple downed trees across the trail that you may have to climb over. Only advice would be to pack accordingly! We brought wagons but found that packing as much as we could on our backs was the way to go, and a cooler with wheels is clutch! If you’re not afraid of a little hard work carrying everything down and back (in multiple trips depending on how much you pack) this is one of the best spots I have ever camped! You can not beat the privacy and the feeling of being in the middle of no where, while still having everything you may need a few min up the road.
We will definitely be back to camp again! It was a beautiful, secluded spot! Truly a hidden gem!!!
