Awesome spot!
Tent
This is a really great unique spot, I'm glad I found it! Beautiful view of the river, and tons of space to walk around all to yourself. Yes there is an active train track, this was a huge plus for me as I love trains. Must not have been any that past by overnight though because I slept well. This place was very easy to find, Jeffrey sent me a pin so I knew exactly where to go. Very very private, The only other people I saw other than maybe a train conductor were three kayakers fishing down the river in the morning.

Great site for adult getaway.
Tent
This site was just a short drive from Pittsburgh. It is easily accessible and very private. Jeffery was helpful with directions and generous with electricity, lighting and firewood. We enjoyed the fire pit and had plenty of room to set up our tent. We were relieved that we were able to park right there so we didn’t have to haul supplies. The train tracks were much closer than we anticipated as they run right past the site. It was fine for my husband and I but I would not have been comfortable taking children. Open tracks on one side, open river on the other. Great for adults though. If fact my husband said a few beers and those trains seemed quieter! LOL We had a little rain but still enjoyed our time away.

We had a nice time . Jeff is upfront that the site is in process. he is not on site but is easily accessible. You have complete privacy. There are 2 “please note”at the end. The site has good electric hook ups. We have Verizon and had no trouble with cell service. You could definitely get a kayak in the river from the site, but I’m guessing access will be widened in the future. We saw people kayaking and fly fishing on the river . There is a cabin ( one story concrete shell that I’m guessing will be a future cabin ) in process, which has a finished really nice covered concert porch with a new picnic table facing the river The site is not so level next to the electric now, but it might be when you go. parts are level within reach of electricity. Now the two notes.. 1. The site is super easy to find the second time. We arrived in the dark and did not see the restaurant land mark while following our GPS (bad move) we needed to message Jeffry, he called right away and was super helpful and stayed on the phone with us until we actually got to the site. he had put out a solar light to mark the electricity so we could find it because he knew we would be arriving late. 2. There is no avoiding the noise from the trains. You are between the tracks and the river. They don’t pass by often, but can pass at night. My husband loves trains and thought it was the best thing ever to be able to look out our rooftop tent and see the trains so close by. Would suggest really good earplugs.
