Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway to hike Stone Mountain, Pilot Mountain, New River State Park and Doughton Park. A short ride to Elkin, NC. for great wineries, restaurants and shopping. Visit Mt. Airy, NC., birth place of Andy Griffith. Take a ride to Galax, Va., home to the 'Fiddler's Convention' and to the lovely town of West Jefferson, NC. You can stay right on site to relax, take a nap, read or play games.
