Dog Friendly and Fully Fenced!! This rustic 600 square-foot cabin with a semi-private bedroom and a fold-out couch can comfortably sleep up to 4 adults. The bathroom and kitchen both have modern amenities. There's a wood stove but also electric heat and AC and hot water. Huge sliding glass doors open up to a wrap-around porch. No TV, but Wifi. It sits on 5 wooded acres and nearly a full acre of cleared land is fenced, making it safe for dogs to run off leash. The house sits within the fenced in acre so you can conveniently open the doors and let your dogs run free. There is one visible house across the street from the front of the cabin but it feels very private in the back of the house. There is a firepit. There are two outbuildings onsite that are not available for rent at this time. The cabin is 20 mins from Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Mountain House, and 35 mins from Kingston, New Paltz, Gardiner, Phonecia and Woodstock. Local restaurants of note include Mill and Main, Roughcut Brewing, Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Farms, and Harana. We live in the chalet next door where we offer small group fitness classes most days of the week. Ask us for more info if you're interested.This cabin has been a labor of love for us for more than a decade. We bought it when we (and our dogs) NEEDED space away from NYC. Putting up the fence for our pups to run free while we renovated the house weekend by weekend was our first project. It's still very much a work in progress and we've since moved upstate full-time to the house next door - and had a (human) baby. Things have changed a lot but we're thrilled to now be able to provide a little getaway for people AND their dogs. We know hard it is to find dog friendly (and more importantly, dog safe) rentals out there.

Extremely impressive cabin. Everything a glamper could ask for. It's like a really nice apartment. Though close to the road it felt private. The dog fence was very effective. Great fire wood and wood stove. The bathroomis nicer than ours. Terrific natural light and view of property. The local restaurants are pretty good we went to arrowhead farm which is dog friendly and has good sandwiches. Y will not beat the price of this cabin. Alot of cool nearby places to explore we should have booked an entire week. I was on a regiment of antibiotics so i didn't get out too much. Mostly reading and hanging out with the wife and dog.The only thing i would add is curtains for bathroom and bedroom. My wife thought a microwave would be good as well, she is strictly a glamper.

GREAT for our pack of pups!
We had a great weekend at Queen's Cabin! We chose it for the large fenced area and the ability to bring many dogs. I watch dogs for a living and going away on vacation means canceling clients so, based on a referral in a NJ Dog Friendly Places FB group, we booked a weekend at Sara's and planned to bring along however many dogs I'd be watching on that particular weekend. It turned out to be 3 extras in addition to my two. Even though the cabin itself is rather small, there was plenty of room for the two of us and our 5 K9 companions. Two bowls and two dog beds were provided and a large memory foam mat (great for 2 dogs) I was able to give them water even before we unpacked. I really loved having the gated, fenced deck. Sometimes I would put a dog beds out there so my guy could rest in the sun. He is a tripod and has trouble on slippery floors so I brought an extra 5x7 carpet and a few rubber backed mats. My husband loved tending the wood stove (after we got it started, with help from Sara who communicated right away when we struggled with lighting it). He also loved studying all the work that Sara and Ben have done and how the whole place is put together. The wifi worked flawlessly! The bed was luxurious and felt more like an upscale hotel than a cabin in the woods. And having a full kitchen was wonderful, although a microwave and a toaster oven (and maybe a Keurig? LOL) would round it out completely for me. We'll definitely be booking again next year!!

Loved this cabin and area!! Finding the perfect place for dogs is nearly impossible but this was great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

The most phenomenal vacation at this magical cabin! Has absolutely everything necessary to make your stay a delight, Sara’s communication was prompt and so helpful. Felt so secure letting our dog run around as much as she could possible want! Cannot wait to return.

Perfect stay-exactly what we needed for our escape to the mountains with our dogs and daughter! We travel with our pups often and this might have been the most accommodating arrangement we've experienced. Dogs or no dogs though, a stay at Queens Cabin is a great experience and I'd highly recommend.
