Overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17-acre farm block with animals. Great place to stay if you are walking Mt Barney, Mt May or Mt Maroon - 40 minutes drive north. Our 17-acre block is just a couple of minutes walk from Woodenbong, a small rural village in northern NSW, 2 hrs south of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Being in the country we don't have access to all of the telecommunication providers that the majority of Australians have in the city and living on the coast. However, we are served by Telstra so if you have a Telstra account you can use your mobile phone, laptop, iPad here. We have access to a wi-fi - ask for the password (charges may apply). Our advice is to disconnect from the city and reconnect with the country. You can access the great outdoors - all of our paddocks and the Woodenbong Common. There are several food options locally for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you do not want to cook for yourself.Overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17 acre farm block with animals. This hipcamp was so lovely, looking out over the valley to the mountain range ahead. So close to the town of Woodenbong and lovely drives, both rainforest and farm land. Kim and Dean are lovely hosts and we would absolutely recommend a couple of nights at their beautiful property. They also have a lovely cabin if your friends/family don’t camp.

Definitely one of the most beautiful places we have camped at. The views are huge. Our site was easy to get to. Kim and Dean are great hosts. Friendly horses and cows. Next time we travel in the area we'll definitely stay again. There is a dump point at the caravan park in town with easy access, but the park was very crowded. We were thrilled to have found Kim and Dean's.
