Heritage Hideaway is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with loved ones. Located on 25 acres of steep bluffs, our Tiny House is tucked on the edge of the mature hardwood forest. A 100 yard hike in, allows guests to feel truly unplugged. Comfortably rustic, the Tiny House is furnished with solar electricity, clean water and firewood is supplied with each stay. Our Tiny House is 100% off the grid and utilizes a small solar system. Guests should consider limiting their use of electronic devices and appliances to ensure adequate electricity for lights, fan and fridge during your stay. While there is no running water, ten gallons of fresh water is supplied with each stay. The clean and modern outhouse is close but not too close to the Tiny House. A short hike beyond the cabin is a rock overlook for spectacular sunset views. Please note the parking area is located 100 yards from the cabin, there is no motor vehicle access to the cabin itself. A wagon is available to facilitate transporting your gear for your stay. A true hideaway, the cabin is tucked back off the main road, yet close to many recreational opportunities. Relax around a campfire or listen to the sounds of nature. Take in the scenic views and gather with family where distractions disappear. The Tiny House is a single room 12' x 20' building furnished with dry sink, Queen sized Murphy Bed, Twin XL with Twin trundle bed. You have the entire Tiny House to yourself, the property is shared with our Main Cabin but not visible to other guests or any neighbors. The Tiny House is tucked on the edge of the property boundary just inside the woods and on top of a bluff. Guests are welcome to explore the property being respectful of our neighbors who pasture cows next to and below the Tiny House. Our property is located within the Driftless Area and easy driving distance of world class trout fishing, the Root River (canoe, kayak, tubing) and the Root River Bike Trail. Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center is approximately a 10 min drive and offers many outdoor/educational opportunities. Three State Parks are within driving distance and offer additional recreational activities.
