We had a great stay with Chris, he has a big plot of land surrounded by trees and views of the mountains in the background. We were met with stunning views of the stars, due to little light pollution. The hip camp is only a couple of miles from Mt. Chase, a steep hiking trail with sublime views of the mountains, trees, and crevices of water tucked in the valleys. He also lives a couple hours away from Mt. Katahdin and the drive there is beautiful. Chris is a ranger and had useful recommendations. He also loaded us up with campfire wood and came down to say hello and make sure we had what we needed. The space is private and you cannot see his house unless you walk up the hill from the camping area on his land. If you’re looking for some solitude and nature therapy, this your place!
Worth the ride. The lengthy 6 hour trip from Nashua was made worth it the second We saw the view. Chris was an amazing host. Easygoing and helpful as they come! Definitely will be back if chris will have us 12/10 would recommend
