This place was exactly what I needed! Private, cozy, clean. I did every trail at the Holbrook Island Sanctuary, went swimming at Bakeman Beach and Willard Pond, had pizza at Tinder Hearth, a blueberry pastry at the market. I wish I had gotten lobsters but there wasn’t a pot big enough for them. Bring wood for the campfire and a hatchet or axe and a big pot for lobster! There was some unexpected noise from a mine across the street and they start early but it wasn’t that bad.

Sweet Little Cabin
This sweet, new little cabin was just what we needed. The space is fragrant from the new wood, and the cozy little anteroom helped us weather the storm that arrived during our short stay. The outhouse with its composting toilet is a cut above, and the outdoor shower was appreciated. The newly graded grounds were planted with a variety of native plants, and it will be enjoyable to watch them grow and fill in.
