This campsite consistently delights with its breathtaking views and spacious setup, making it ideal for stargazing and enjoying sunrises. Campers appreciate the privacy and the shelter that provides comfort during rainy weather. Visitors often mention the clean facilities, though some express concern about the proximity of portable toilets to other sites. The scenic location, combined with thoughtful amenities, creates a memorable camping experience for families and groups alike.

Beautiful Kentucky Ridge Top
14 ft pop-up camper ·
Nice level site and really well maintained with gravel allowing any rain to drain well. Beautiful ridge top location that was quiet at night. The stars were lovely. The site was large and allowed us ample room to set up our teardrop trailer and to have space for our camp chairs, etc. The porta potty is close enough to be convenient as well. The directions to get to the site were great. They made it easy to find where we were going even after exiting onto a steep mountain gravel road.

Beautiful campground. Highly recommend! Very important to follow the written directions though, GPS tried rerouting through some rough terrain but overall camping here was an amazing experience

This is the first accommodation I have ever booked that I have been unable to stay in due to conditions at the site. The host was very responsive when we were having difficulty finding the site. However, upon arrival we noticed a very strong gas smell that was not dissipating with the considerable wind, and was strong enough that we very quickly started to feel unwell. Additionally, there was trash littered around the site, including empty beer cans and boxes with unfinished cans. After being unable to find a source for the smell at the site, we messaged the host and were told that it was due to a crude oil pump on a nearby lot and there was nothing to be done. Unfortunately, at this point it was clear that we would not be able to stay at the site due to the effects of the fumes and we had to find alternative accommodations at the last minute.

We enjoyed our stay at this site. There is plenty of room for camping and the views are outstanding. Great for star gazing and sunrises. It's about 30 minutes from many hiking trails and the little town of Slade.
