This is our guest house. It resides on a 9-acre property that is shared with our home. The guest house offers lots of privacy including a seperate outdoor area behind the guest house. The other amenities are shared. Eco tours with the owners is sometimes available including kayaking, hikiing, swimming in the river and off road trail rides on a utility vehicle through a 200 acre nature preserve.Looking to explore Coastal Georgia? Need a quiet place to unplug, relax, and recharge? This rustic cabin offers luxury and ammenites and is perfect for a romantic getaway, family reconnect trip, or weekend girls/guys vacation. It is located on 9 scenic acres that offers trees with hooting owls nestled in them, a tall bluff that meanders down to a long boardwalk that takes you through a cypress forest that ends at the Satilla River. At the river you can launch a kayack, drop a fishing line, or just sit back and watch nature or read a book. This cabin is off a 2.5 mile dirt road and 15 minutes to the closest restaurant and grocery story so expect to find peace and quiet and relaxation here. It is easy access with any vehicle despite the dirt road (which is county maintained regularly) and centrally located to Jekyll Island, Cumberland Island, Jacksonville, Brunswick and the Golden Isles. This cabin offers modern conveniences like DISH TV, a DVD player, and WIFI. It has been stocked full with movies, books, and games to help your family reconnect and relax. The cabin offers a spacious bedroom with queen bed, a private bathroom with custom slate floor and walk in shower. There is a fully stocked kitchen and a spacious living room that has a queen size futon. There is two windows seats perfect for cozying up to a good book. There is a private outdoor area behind the cabin with a firepit and outdoor seating and a grill. There is also a shared outdoor space consisting of a covered pavillion with picnic table, an additional grill, and an additional firepit with more seating. The boardwalk to the river is also a shared space. This cabin is shared with one other home on the property. The owners/managers also reside there and understand your need for privacy so they can be as hands on or hands off as you prefer. And having someone on the same property the owners can take care of any issues quickly should they arise during your stay.  There is plenty of room for parking as we have a circular driveway and two large parking areas. Should you chose to bring a boat there is a boat launch about 15 minutes away. We have pets and yours are welcome as well with advanced approval and pet fee.

Site 6 - Satilla Sleepover Camping Haven
Fine spot, convenient to the highway when passing through. Great food across the street at Captain Stan's.

Campsite in center of town.
First we were sent an address and some questions about if we were on an RV or a tent. We were in a tent. Then we were sent a different address. When we arrived at the new address it was an empty grassy lot in the center of town. The restaurant across four lanes of traffic was the restrooms. Not acceptable. Called to tell her we couldn't possibly stay in this surrounding. Then we're sent back to the original address which is about 25 minutes away. We were told there is NO restrooms available at this location. We were left with nowhere to camp. Really need to have my money refunded as we didn't stay in either location.

Michelle's land was peaceful and she even started up the fire pit for us. My dog enjoyed the walks over the boardwalk to the river.

BBQ, a river, and some good folks
What a great place to crash! Basically an empty lot across from a legendary bbq joint, Captain Stan’s Smokehouse in a sleepy town that time forget. I used it as the first stop on my digital nomad journey, and the host was amazing, the people of Woodbine are an absolute joy to hangout with, and the countryside is just a slice of heaven!
