The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Incredible. Pics don’t do it justice. Also Tom is just a real friendly dude, gave me a quick tour and then I got to enjoy this sensational place with my 2 dogs. The sink is truly out of this world. I will absolutely be back.

This farm was so peaceful and relaxing to stay at. The animals were great to visit with. The sunset and night sky are spectacular with no other light interference! Our host Tom, was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and even took us for a tour of the property! We had a wonderful stay!

We LOVED tent camping at Glenn Farm, Magnolia sink site for Thanksgiving with our 3 boys and our dog! The kids (and the dog) had an absolute blast! It is very private!! The entire property is just gorgeous. The sink was absolutely magical, it really felt like a different world back there. We really loved all the free space out in front of the sink! The kids could run wild and far with no worries for us.. fly their kites, ride bikes, wander... so much fun. There were SO many stars every night, it was truly unreal and absolutely gorgeous. Every morning started with a beautiful sunrise and deer in clear view out in front of our tents. Our oldest especially loved all the cows and sheep, he visited them for hours each day. We all had the best time! Most importantly, Tom is just wonderful!!!!! He went above and beyond and really made us feel at home. We will most certainly be back soon!!! Can't recommend this place enough!

Tom’s camp site was extremely spacious, secluded, and peaceful. The animals were all friendly, the area was kept very clean, and the landscape made for a great relaxing view. My friends and I had a great time, and will probably be back soon! We enjoyed talking with Tom, he is such a nice guy and you can tell his main concern is accommodating his guests well. I recommend this place to any and all!

Fantastic place

This is a wonderful site, and Tom was fantastic. We had a great time. The only issue we had was people's dogs barking late into the night, including a house that was right across from the field we were in. Not Tom's fault, of course, but it did detract from the otherwise peaceful surroundings we were in. If you don't mind that, you can't go wrong here.

Simply a camping fave!
Tom is the best host on hipcamp and the camping spot is hard to pass up. If you like a more primitive campsite, you will enjoy your time here!
