Set in the beautiful Northumberland country side. Bankfoot camping is on a working farm in a quiet field with views down the Tyne Valley. Only 20 miles from Newcastle, 8 miles from Hexham, and 5 miles to the nearest roman site at Corbridge, Our camping field has one of the old roman roads running through it. Toilet and; shower facilities on site. All are welcome as we try our first year as a pop up site.Bring your own tent and just pitch up for a well earned brake.Bankfoot Camping is set on a working farm in a field just off the A68 to the west of Stocksfield.With views across the Tyne Valley this site offers the most amazing sunsets and sun downs.Only 10 miles to Hexham market town, 20 miles west of Newcastle.Hadrians Wall is only 5 miles in Corbridge.

Great little campsite

Tent

Had a lovely night at this peaceful site. Parked the campervan and hooked up to an electric point. We had a campfire which was great. Good toilets and shower and the picnic tables are a nice touch. Susan was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. Would definitely use this site again.

Absolutely beautiful bell tent. I had a king size super comfy bed, with a great duvet to keep me warm! Everything you could need was provided, plus some thoughtful extras. There’s was a fire pit and picnic table outside, log burner inside with wood & firelighters provided. There was also outdoor tables, chairs.. sleeping bags etc stored under the bed for if required. Behind the tent was a gazebo with your own personal gas bbq (one per bell tent). The water point is close by and there is a large water carrier on the tent so you don’t have to keep going backwards & forwards. Everything was sparkling clean. Susan was a wonderful host, super friendly, thoughtful & helpful. I had two awesome nights sleep, the site was quiet. The sun rises in front of the tent & sets behind so you have beautiful skies at both ends of the day (weather permitting of course!) I was blessed with great weather, but the tent was so cosy I’d have been just as happy if it has rained. Can’t wait to visit again
