Another Fantastic Stay
Group trip
We had another great time at XO Ranch! Kids had so much fun seeing all the animals again, learning about caring for them, and helping in the garden. Kim's son, Blaine is a great tour guide and helped entertain my kids while my husband & I relaxed by DonKay.

My kids and I (7 & 10yrs old) had a fantastic 3 days weekend stay. It was just what we wanted; chill time with animals, nature, and good people. After our tour of the ranch, my kids did the animal experience for evening feeding & care. The next day we went around and visited all the animals, giving them the feed Kim left in our cottage. For lunch we went to a local taco shop and then checked our the Children's Nature Retreat close by and got to pet zebras!!! Dinner we enjoyed live music, yummy food, horseshoes, and hanging with the locals at Descanso Junction Outback. Sunday we spent most of the day enjoying the array of animals and their very friendly cat. Kids took horse lessons and learned more about caring for their favorite horse, Princeton. Kim's son was the perfect age to play & distract my kids while I relaxed and strummed my guitar. Highly recommend this place!

Peaceful cabin, playful animals
It was great! All the animals on the ranch were so nice and playful. We gave milk to the baby goat. We Petted the donkey, a pony, fed a cat and a horse. Kim is super friendly. Her family is also super cute. We hiked around the Lake Cuyamaca which is prettiest lake I have ever seen. The walk around it worth it. The cabin is cozy. Has fridge, AC, a guitar and a gramophone and a loft with queen bed. Amazing time we had there. Kim has 5-6 tall horses who look so majestic when they strut.

Great weekend getaway from the city
Group trip
My 3 kids and i absolutely loved our stay here! Kim and her family were welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We specifically chose this place because we love animals and had so much fun visiting the pigs, donkey, mini horse, horses, chickens and the local stray cat which slept in our cabin with us. The highlight of our weekend trip was the add on experiences that they offered. Who knew my kids would enjoy scooping up horse poop so much! 😁 Getting one on one lessons with the horses and being able to groom and ride the horses is something my kids are going to be talking about for a long time. We will definitely be back for another visit!
