Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Our home is located in historic 'Trabuco Canyon' in Orange County, CA.  Our cabin 'number 63' was built in 1928 and all the cabins here in the cabin were sold as hunting cabins or used for vacationing.   Live Oak Canyon Road, and Silverado Canyon Road are some of the nicest driving areas in Southern California.   Learn more about this land: Welcome to Cabin 63... or, we like to call her, ‘The Little Red House’. Our little prefab studio is located in a quiet, safe, tucked away rural neighborhood... at the foot of beautiful Saddleback Mountain. Chickens and cats free range among the oak trees and you will often hear the sounds of horses meandering down the road. Our canyon has a real country feel to it and yet you are only minutes away from the city.  We are situated in a hub of hiking and biking trails and,  if desired, we are only 30 minutes from the beach.  In the evening you can often hear the bleating of sheep on the nearby hills and coyotes yipping in the night.Welcome to Cabin 63... or, we like to call her, ‘The Little Red House’. To TV, no fire (smoking), 20min out
Donna is a WONDERFUL hostess. The place was quaint and for the most part, quiet. However, this IS indeed, a cabin, though the parking doesn't feel like it. Make sure your parallel parking game is on point, because you're contending for space on all sides. Also, this particular place within Trabuco Canyon is well out of the way for anything to do in the rest of the city (again, cabin). If you want a Cafe, prepare to fight traffic for 20 minutes to get there, make sure your Google maps game is on point. Lastly, there's an amazing park (O'Neil) not too far down the road, but it's prone to fire and was closed our entire visit. These are the reasons I wouldn't suggest to most of my friends, but if you'd rather kick it at a spot all day and night that doesn't allow fires and has no TV even as an extended monitor, this may be the place for you.

Great and nicely equipped
I was in town for partly business, partly personal reasons. My client's office was in Chino Hills so travel there was less than an hour's drive. I was also in town to take advantage of SoCal's excellent Winter weather and did a couple of days of mountain biking. Mountain bike trails galore within an hour, almost any direction. Overall, the Little Red House was in a great location. It was very comfortable and equipped with everything that I needed. I travel very light and was able to buy local groceries and have a nice homemade dinner every night and hot breakfast every morning. For work, the wifi was excellent - no complaints. Donnamae is a great host and made sure I had everything I needed, which I did. I would recommend the Little Red House for one or two persons only. There's less going on out there and drives into larger towns take a little longer, but we live in a rural area so it didn't bug me at all. Thank you Donnamae. I'll be reaching out again if/when I travel South for business or another mountain bike trip!

Peaceful getaway ...
From the minute i started my workday on Monday, I immediately wished I was back at the Little Red House. My girlfriend and I needed a getaway from our daily and busy routines and we couldn't have picked a better spot. The area is so peaceful and quiet. So peaceful, we slept our Saturday away. The Little Red House is a quaint little studio with perfect touches all around. We hope to return very very soon. Girlfriend and I both agreed next stay will need to be longer so we can take advantage of all that the canyon has to experience. And of course, get that extra sleep. DonnaMae is an amazing host and person!
