The overall experience at the campsite is overwhelmingly positive, with guests praising its tranquility, natural beauty, and unique amenities like meditation trails and an outdoor shower. Reviewers frequently mention the welcoming atmosphere created by the host, Heidi, and her friendly pets, which adds to the charm of the place. The campsite offers an ideal environment for relaxation and connection with nature, with facilities like a composting toilet and a hot tub enhancing the stay. However, a few guests noted challenges such as navigating the site or interactions with local wildlife.
We had a great stay booking last minute when stopping by, host was great! Awesome little private area wish we had more time to hang out here, will definitely be on our list if we come back to the area! If you plan on driving to the actual campsite you’ll probably need a vehicle that can handle light off-roading, not sure a regular car would have the clearance to make it down there and it was a little tight with branches on each side. Just something to keep in mind but made it all the more fun for us!
I loved Heidi’s sanctuary. It was quiet and well kept. The shower is outdoor and has hot water, very nice. They have a hot tub too! When traveling to the site though, make sure to type in open air meditation sanctuary into your maps. Or click on the link within this app. We had typed in her address manually and it took us 15 min away from her place.
When we arrived her partner greeted us along with their farm dogs. Everyone was super sweet and kind. I would def revisit this spot for sure.
The outhouse is really nice and well kept too. They also provide free firewood. Just be sure to bring some cash to leave in the donation box, so they can continue to provide this awesome service.
Amazing spot to relax and enjoy Heidi’s amenities and meditation areas. We really appreciated having a hot shower and hot tub after a long day of driving. The host was very friendly and welcomed us when we arrived. Would certainly recommend for those looking for close access to natural beauty!
Heidi’s land is awesome! Such a great oasis to disconnect and enjoy nature to the fullest. Was able to run into Heidi as we got in and she was very welcoming. Showed us where to find the hot tub and shower and walked us to our campsite. Very easy going and accommodating. The trails were amazing for a private trail. Getting “lost” and exploring lead to other meditation areas. The dogs on site are beautiful and very nice. Didn’t seem to get along with our dog so we had to keep them away from each other. Something to keep in mind if bringing pets. The cat on site is so adorable aside from scaring us at night XD. Overall awesome experience. Will be back for sure. Also the hot tub experience was amazing.
