We have plenty of blue gum trees. It greens up in the winter and browns off in the summer. Turn right out of the driveway to head to the first of many exquisite beaches along our Great Ocean Drive. Head left for quickest way to town. A must see is our National Parks, our beaches, Stonehenge and many of our artists around the town.

We had a great stay - thank you very much for having us! The caretaker contacted us before arrival and explained how to get to the site appropriately (as Google Maps would lead you a wrong way) - thanks! The bathroom was comfortable. We would definitely come again!

The View was such a beautiful place to spend a few days. It was a very peaceful spot to get away from the crowds at such a busy time of the year. The name “The View” is very fitting, the view from our site was so beautiful and we spent so much time admiring it during our stay.

The camp is in a sandy field but it was spacious and had shade. There are animals around which are fun to watch and we bought free range eggs from the host. It was very quiet but we enjoyed interacting with Marie the host, who was very friendly and helpful. The tavern in the town is walking distance

Great open space to setup. Great location to visit Cape Le grand beaches etc. Shiela (host) is very responsive and helpful. Driveway into property is a bet sketchy, we towed an all terrain 17ft pop top caravan through it fine but slow. Would definitely stay again. Getting rid of rubbish is the only small downside, would pay more per night to have rubbish bins available but that is a small inconvenience to mention.

We really enjoyed our night at Judy's place! We had all the space to ourselves and it was very peaceful.
Judy was super responsive and flexible and I had a great time chatting with her.
Bonus: the location is very convinient to travel around Esperance.

This is an awesome little spot just outside of Esperance if you don't want to stay in the overflowing caravan parks. Quiet and peaceful and 10min to town with an added shower and toilet.

Where to go
Cape Le Grand National Park
The undisputed highlight of a visit to Esperance is the neighbouring Cape Le Grand National Park, one of Western Australia’s most visited national parks. Head to Lucky Bay, where wild kangaroos hop along the white-sand beach, hike along the Le Grand Coastal Trail, then head to the beach to surf, fish, or boat. The park’s two campgrounds have unpowered sites suitable for tents, campervans, and camper trailers.
Esperance Bay
Take your pick of beaches along the shores of Esperance Bay or cruise out to explore the Recherche Archipelago, a collection of 105 islands that pepper the coast. Spot sea lions and fur seals on Cooper Island, go swimming and snorkelling at the beaches of Sandy Hook Island or fly over Middle Island to admire the bubblegum-pink lake. You can even rent a glamping tent or a luxury safari hut on Woody Island.
Fitzgerald River National Park
West of Esperance, Fitzgerald River National Park is a hotspot for whale-watching in the winter months. Alternatively, come in spring to admire the dazzling wildflowers or through summer to enjoy swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking at the many beaches and bays. The main campground has reverse-in unpowered sites for motorhomes and campervans, and there’s also a bush campsite.
When to go
Australia’s southwest coast avoids the extreme weather of the north, and average highs are a pleasant 26°C in Esperance in summer. Winters can be rainy and cold, but June through October is also whale-watching season along the coast, and August through November is wildflower season. The perfect compromise? A springtime visit in October or November means you can combine wildlife-watching with beach time.
