    Here on Grassmere Grange we have spectacular views over the Grassmere Valley, where the Merri River runs down stream on its way out to the mouth at Lady Bay in Warrnambool. Warrnambool is a 10 minute drive south for any day trips. Or if you’re going to be here for the May Racing Carnival, we can organise transport for you to get to and from town safely .     Country style accommodation on a rural horse property situated just outside of Warrnambool. High View is quiet and peaceful with ocean, wetland and rural views. We welcome well behaved dogs (please see our Pet policy prior to booking) both inside and outside the cottages and lodges. We have two types of accommodation on offer: Our luxury Ocean View Cottages are newly renovated, boasting wetland and ocean views with a private verandah to enjoy them from. The cottages sleep up to 4 guests comfortably with a trundle bed option by request for an additional 5th person. Our Budget Friendly Lodges are for those guests with larger groups looking for a frills free option. With rural views and sleeping up to 6 guests, the Lodges can be opened up to accommodate up to 12 guests in total. High View has horse paddocks to wander around and friendly dogs and cats too. You can meet the horses up close by request, or just say hi over the gate. Close to town but feels like you are miles away, High View is the perfect combination of seclusion and convenience for guests who prefer the quiet of the country.     Sea Glimpse Shack is a renovated shed that offers a comfortable, semi-self-contained space with essential amenities for budget-conscious travelers. While there are no cooking facilities, a kettle, toaster, and microwave are provided, along with a small selection of tea, coffee, and sugar. Conveniently located just 15 minutes from the world-famous Twelve Apostles, the shack is also a short 5-minute drive to Port Campbell, where guests can find a variety of restaurants. Additionally, it is only 15 minutes from Peterborough and Timboon, home to cafés, a bakery, local shops, the Timboon Fine Ice Creamery, and a strawberry farm. Guests have access to free parking at the front of the shack. Please note that the driveway is shared with the hosts, and a speed limit of 15 km/h must be observed due to the presence of animals. As this is a working farm, you may hear typical farm noises such as cows mooing, dogs barking, or even koalas grunting. If these sounds are not to your liking, this accommodation may not be suitable for you. Please be aware that charging electric vehicles or washing vehicles is not permitted at the shack.

    Situated on our 170-acre farm “Cambus Glen” near the settlement of Framlingham in South-West Victoria, the Shearers’ Cottage is a fully renovated sheep shearers accommodation. The Scottish name “Cambus Glen” means valley where a twisting river passes - this refers to our 3km of Hopkins River frontage – Scottish because the farm is home to our small fold (or herd) of Highland Cattle. The space The cottage is situated in its own private shady garden, overlooking the rolling green (in winter) and gold (in summer) pastures. Fitted out as a studio apartment, it has a queen-sized bed adjoining the living and dining areas. The fully equipped kitchen has a two-plate electric hob, a small fridge, a microwave, and small appliances with a gas BBQ outside on the porch. Tea coffee and some other pantry basics are provided. There is an air conditioner, a wood-burning stove, and plenty of blankets for those cold winter evenings. Guests can make a supervised visit to see the cattle, with plenty of great photo opportunities. It is also possible to take a stroll along the river, where koala sightings are guaranteed, but wallabies and, occasionally, platypus can also be spotted. For those wishing to explore the region – we are a 30-minute drive from the rugged South-West Victorian coast. Explore the Shipwreck coast between Port Fairy and Cape Otway – see the rock formations of the Port Campbell National Park and continue for another 30 minutes to Loch Ard Gorge and the 12 Apostles National Park. Visit Warrnambool, the picturesque Koroit, and Port Fairy, or enjoy one of the many walking tracks in the area or the Warrnambool to Port Fairy rail trail.
