Caravan parks near Lorne

·

Coastal road trips don't come more Instagrammable than with its soaring cliffs, wave-ravaged beaches, and miles of glittering blue ocean. Less than an hour from the road's official starting point at Torquay, Lorne is a home base for campers—park your campervan or motorhome here before setting off to see the Twelve Apostles and Apollo Bay, or better yet, plan a few days to take in the beaches, bushwalking trails, and waterfalls. Caravan campers have options around Lorne. Check into a holiday park or caravan park along the beach or Erskine River, where you'll find powered sites and full amenities, or escape to a tranquil bush campground in the Great Otway National Park and wake up to the sound of kookaburras. Caravan camping is enjoyable year-round, but the road can get crowded in summer (December to February), and winter (June through August) brings frequent rainfall.
