We also offer a 5m lotus belle stargazer tent, situated at the very top of the property, nestled amongst the native trees and with water views, it has a luxurious queen-sized bed with beautiful linens and is a short walk away from the walking tracks to the beach. All guests have access to our well-maintained composting toilet with water views and a beautiful hot outdoor shower that is open to the sky. Next door is a large sheep property, and on our land we have friendly chooks, peacocks, Guinea pigs, miniature goats, horses and a border collie. Guests and children are welcome to pat, feed and cuddle the chooks, Guinea pigs, horses and the miniature goats! Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly with other dogs and people, and can be trusted not to escape to the next-door sheep property (beware as farmers can be ruthless with dogs!). They will need to be supervised and restrained (tied up or placed in our closed-in yard at night so they don’t disturb wallabies and other wildlife). Farnese Olivo is a family hobby farm set on 5 acres overlooking the Coal River Valley in Acton Park, just 15 minutes from Hobart CBD. The Duck Hole is a historic farm dam offering a quiet rural experience. COMPLIMENTARY INCLUSIONS: All campers have free access to: - potable drinking water - shower (open air, cold only) - bring bathers. Great in summer, only for the brave in winter! - rubbish bins - fire pit - firewood (provided for free, for use in the fire pit) - cast iron bbq plate and skillets for cooking in the fire pit - picnic table and chairs overlooking the dam - dam side hammock - portable cassette toilet (located outdoors) The property was established in the early 1980s on the site of one of Hobarts oldest farms (the original house built in 1826 still stands as a beautiful family home 2 doors up on our street). The old dairy still stands as visitor accomodation opposite the front of our property offering a glimpse of farm life from the past 200 years. A tradition we maintain today with having a sustainable orchard with just over 100 trees. Seasonal Fresh produce is available to purchase. We are home to friendly hand reared heritage british sheep (they love cuddles and food!), Ducks (Wild and Pet) and Chickens. Overlooking the historic dam there is a shared fire pit with firewood supplied complimentary. We ask that on days of total fire ban, this is respected. We can only accept self-contained campers, so you will need to have your own camp toilet or use the cassette toilet provided. There is a dump point within 6km, located in Cambridge Park for those with their own toilet. Public toilet and showers are located close by at Seven Mile Beach and Roches Beach (both about 5 mins drive) Some minor leveling may be required. The sheep pen and duck hole sites are pretty much flat. The coal valley and ash sites require minor levelling. As we have farm animals, you will get to hear our sheep and ducks enjoying their environment. However, it is very quiet of an evening/night. Falcon Ridge

Falcon Ridge is 208 acres of rural paradise on the way to Orford or into the township of Sorell (which is 15 minutes away). The property slopes up from the road to a large ridge line, on the right days, you will see Peregrine falcons or wedge-tailed eagles using the uplift to effortlessly soar over our property. We also have multiple echidnas that share our property, along with a family of shy wombats (that you might be lucky enough to see at dawn and dusk). There are sweeping views to the North and East. The campsite (which you will have all to yourself) has options for all vehicle types, although some minor levelling may be required in parts for vans/campers. You're welcome to bring your dog along too! We can only accept self-contained campers, so you'll need to have your own camp toilet. There is a dump point located in Sorell (15 mins away). Hobart 40mins, with Salamanca markets every Saturday, Mona Ferry, Cascade brewery, all the restaurants and shops on the waterfront, and wharves. Enjoy the views from Mt Wellington. A bit further past Hobart and you are in the cider tasting area, call into Willie Smith for a cider experience or catch the ferry to go and visit Bruny Island. Turn Left and you have some boutique vineyards: Cape Bernier, and Bangor, all around 30 mins away and offer food as well. Unzoo devil park, Port Arthur and the coal mines, Eaglehawk neck, Tesselated Pavement, Blow hole, Lavender farm. Firepits are supplied, and Firewood can be purchased at time of booking if you're planning on having a campfire . Ten minutes drive to dump site and water refill. Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. We are home to friendly hand reared heritage british sheep (they love cuddles and food!), Ducks (Wild and Pet) and Chickens. Overlooking the historic dam there is a shared fire pit with firewood supplied complimentary. We ask that on days of total fire ban, this is respected. We can only accept self-contained campers, so you will need to have your own camp toilet or use the cassette toilet provided. There is a dump point within 6km, located in Cambridge Park for those with their own toilet. Public toilet and showers are located close by at Seven Mile Beach and Roches Beach (both about 5 mins drive) Some minor leveling may be required. The sheep pen and duck hole sites are pretty much flat. The coal valley and ash sites require minor levelling. As we have farm animals, you will get to hear our sheep and ducks enjoying their environment. However, it is very quiet of an evening/night. We love meeting new people and are passionate about our property we can’t wait to share it with you and your family!

The Duck Hole is a historic farm dam offering a quiet rural experience. Beautiful 8 acre property situated on the edge of the Craigbourne Dam, 2 minutes from the township of Colebrook and 50 minutes from the Hobart CBD. Our property offers are great getaway experience for any traveller. The Craigbourne Dam is a all year round recreational fishing ground and stocks many species of fish i.e. Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout to name a few. Our property is a pet friendly park but we do ask all patrons to be considerate of the surrounding farmland and live stock . As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish . If you’re driving from Hobart to the Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur, you’ll almost certainly pass through Sorell, a small town on the shore of the Orielton Lagoon.
