    The Woodlander and Back Paddock Campsites are Private Campsites located @ thelittlegardenfarm. Private campsites (approx 400m away from each other) all to yourselves within a short drive to many Bruny Island attractions. The Little Garden Farm is our new 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we will begin improving over the next 18 months. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter. The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please). The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips! Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

    Situated on a small coastal farm on 8 acres above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island. Camping area and the barn are in a gently sloping pasture paddock with flat areas for camping. Beautiful walks from the property, with just a five minute walk down to the spectacular sea cave, and a 10-15 minute walk through the light bush and along the picturesque cliff top coastline to the neck beach, where you can swim with the waves, fish off the rocks, or go for an endless walk along the beach. 5 minutes drive to adventure bay's beautiful beaches which are safe for swimming and dog friendly, as well as the grocery store, restaurant, bowls club (for Friday and Saturday night meals). If you love birds, there will be plenty of sounds to listen to from the trees. You might be lucky to see the wedge tail eagle hovering above. Resident banjo frogs live in the large pond in the corner of the paddock. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and reasonable privacy. 2 options available: + Camp site for just one group at a time in a relatively flat area with lovely ocean views. + Or upgrade to an affordable lodging in a rustic but comfortable converted horse barn, double bed in the loft with clean linen provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. Portable camping toilet is in the outhouse. Dogs are subject to pre-approval, and must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. Horses are usually only here during the winter months. The property is fully fenced so there is plenty of space for your dog to run around and a large pond. And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn. Its is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

The camping site is located in a beautiful location overlooking the lavender fields, in bloom december/january, with the ever-changing Mt Roland in the background. On days with cold southerly winds, alternative campingsites are available on the farm. Please contact us to find out. Includes use flushing toilet, hot shower and laundry (external access). Approx. 300m from the campsite. We are pet friendly. We've got room for up to 5 separate bookings. Due to shortage of personnel, we can no longer offer the farm tours. Hope this will change coming season 2024/25. But hipcampers are welcome to have a walk on the farm. We are working together with other organic certified farmers. They lease parts of our land to grow vegetables. Hipcampers are welcome to have a walk around their crops as well.     Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here.     Our property runs beef and cultivates crops alongside the Ringarooma river, North East Tasmania. We often host mountain bike riders here to access the world-class trails at Derby. Nearby are many marked mountain trails, and numerous falls. Skiing is 1hr away in the winter. Our camping site is alongside cattle grazing paddocks and the Ringarooma river, and we offer one site only, to one group at a time, so it's yours exclusively. A toilet is available nearby. A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful! Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat. Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.

Semaphore Farm is a 400-acre property with convict history, bordering the Port Artur historic site. It is a private timber reserve and a working forest farm. We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained).

    Farnese Olivo is a family hobby farm set on 5 acres overlooking the Coal River Valley in Acton Park, just 15 minutes from Hobart CBD. The Duck Hole is a historic farm dam offering a quiet rural experience. All campers have free access to: - potable drinking water - shower (open air, cold only) - outdoor basic cassette/camp toilet - rubbish bins - fire pit and firewood - cast iron bbq plate and skillets for cooking in the fire pit - picnic table and chairs overlooking the dam - dam side hammock The property was established in the early 1980s on the site of one of Hobarts oldest farms (the original house built in 1826 still stands as a beautiful family home 2 doors up on our street). We are home to three friendly hand reared sheep - Daisy, Frank and Bill who love pats and food. Muscovy and Indian Runner Ducks, Chickens and many native birds. Overlooking the historic dam there is a shared fire pit with firewood supplied. We can only accept self-contained campers. There is a dump point within 6km, located in Cambridge Park for those with their own toilet. Some minor leveling may be required. The sheep pen and duck hole sites are pretty much flat. As we have farm animals, you will get to hear our sheep and ducks enjoying their environment. However, it is very quiet of an evening/night. We love meeting new people and are passionate about our property we can’t wait to share it with you and your family! Check in MUST be between 12pm and 8pm (daylight hours) due to safety and our council permit. If you require check in after 8pm please contact us prior to booking to arrange.

    Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. The path passes through temperate tree fern rainforest, populated by glow worms.     THIS IS A WORKING FARM WITH MANY FREE ROAMING ANIMALS! Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river, so therefor the LAST property at the end of the road before the road goes into Forestry tracks. Many would consider this place to be very remote.....to us it is close to the City only 50 minutes away over the Mountain gravel roads. If you want to travel on mostly sealed roads go through Fingal and PAST Mathinna. Check maps before you leave as NO reception out here. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp upon, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the paddock grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. (there is a landline telephone in the big house so you can make a call if you need to, it is a private number)

The property is set nearby the Quamby Bluff Trail, a 6km moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Golden Valley, Tasmania, Australia that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Please help us preserve the peace and beauty of this place. We are an alcohol and drug free community. Feel free to chat with our friendly nun if you are interested in mindfulness and to walk the property while you stay.     Fickle Break Farm is a 28-acre coastal property on the doorstep of a world-class surf break, only 30 mins from Hobart. You can walk out the door with your surfboard, bike, or running shoes and jump in the ocean or onto several beautiful coastal walking and riding trails. We are 10 minutes away from Lauderdale shops and 10 mins to the best surf beaches in Hobart on the South Arm Peninsula. Pitch your tent or park your set up on our beautiful grassy hilltop campsite overlooking the South Arm Peninsula and Mt Wellington in the distance. You'll enjoy good access to Mays Point surf break and the Clarence Coastal Trail just a few mins away with walking tracks to Cremorne and Lauderdale along the coast. The camping area has a communal fire pit, access to fresh water and power in our large shed if needed, and a table tennis table. We are on tank water, so please be mindful of this. And please drive slowly and be mindful of treading lightly on the land. We also offer a 5m lotus belle stargazer tent, situated at the very top of the property, nestled amongst the native trees and with water views, it has a luxurious queen-sized bed with beautiful linens and is a short walk away from the walking tracks to the beach. All guests have access to our well-maintained composting toilet with water views and a beautiful hot outdoor shower that is open to the sky. Next door is a large sheep property, and on our land we have friendly chooks, peacocks, Guinea pigs, miniature goats, horses and a border collie. Guests and children are welcome to pat, feed and cuddle the chooks, Guinea pigs, horses and the miniature goats! Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly with other dogs and people, and can be trusted not to escape to the next-door sheep property (beware as farmers can be ruthless with dogs!). They will need to be supervised and restrained (tied up or placed in our closed-in yard at night so they don’t disturb wallabies and other wildlife). We love meeting new people and are passionate about our beautiful property so we can’t wait to share it with you!
