Important Details for a Hassle-Free Stay: Please read carefully as these points will answer most questions. 🌳 What You Can Expect: • We are a bushland Hipcamp site, not a caravan park. Embrace nature, space, and serenity! • Fire Policy: Fires are ONLY allowed during the winter months on designated hard surfaces. Once the fire rating season kicks in, no fires are permitted due to bushfire risk. So, enjoy those campfires in the cooler months when they’re needed! • Space for Gear: Wondering if you can fit your tent, gazebo, and trailer? It’s up to you! Our sites are spacious, but you must be self-contained. One vehicle per site – additional vehicles must park in the main carpark. Amenities: 🚿 Stay Self-Contained: We have portable hot showers and toilets, but feel free to use your RV facilities, grey water on the garden is fine! ♻️ Waste Management: Take your rubbish with you! There’s no garbage service – we’re all about keeping the environment clean. 💧 Water: Potable water available at all sites. 🍽 Camp Kitchen & Wi-Fi: We’ve got you covered with a full kitchen and Wi-Fi across the retreat. Important Reminders: • Dump Point: 3 km away in Victor Harbor – please don’t use our portable toilets for cassette emptying. • Noise Policy: Quiet hours from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM – let’s keep it peaceful for everyone. • CCTV: For your safety, discreet CCTV is in place. • Fires: Winter fires only! The Scrub Campsite

Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top caravans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. All bookings will be cancelled if a severe or catastophic fire is forecast by the weather bureau. Campers can claim a refund from Hipcamp A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a solar and rocket shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. (Keen Road entrance) Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 10pm. Noisy campers has been my biggest complaint so please respect others and adhere to the policy. Children must be supervised at all times. Please note that a fenced off dam is located near the campsite and is out of bounds to all children unless supervised by an adult. Rubbish must be removed by all campers as no bins are available. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. Great location, best opportunity to spend time on the farm amongst the animals and nature. We are a small Farmstay in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula just out side Victor Harbor in Waitpinga. Powered and unpowered sites have use of bathroom facility. Waggon Flat campers do not have access to facilities. Limited Telstra ph service and no wifi. And For Something New, Your welcome to visit our Onsite Distillery. Moo's Distillery is open Friday's to Sunday to taste new and vibrant Gins. If your hungry also try a pizza for Dinner. ***** We welcome you to make a booking with us at Breakaway Farmstay but when booking please make sure all your details are correct. So we do not have to decline the booking due to incorrect details. Also after you have placed a booking please check your messages to see if we have responded to you at some stage. On the farm you will be able to see our animals which include Sheep, cows, chooks, ducks, goats, alpaca - all are very hungry and looking for pats! Sorry we don't allow pets. Campfires permitting (depending on local fire restrictions). All Rubbish is to be taken home by campers, with the policy of what you bring you take home and leave nothing.
