Situated on 100 acres 5km north of Robe town, and a very very short drive (or 2km walk) to beautiful Long Beach, the Robe Camel Farm is in the perfect location. Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar. You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. Book these experiences on the website www.humpalicious.com.au. Robe Camel Farm is a very relaxed environment. We will be carrying on daily jobs such as camel feeding, building, training etc. Guests are welcome to participate in daily farm life if they choose to! The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). At The Landing you'll be surrounded by big beautiful old gum trees in a peaceful farm setting. You'll see a variety of bird life, kangaroos and maybe even a koala or an echidna if you're lucky. The Landing is also situated right in the heart of the Adelaide Hills Wine region with amazing wineries, restaurants, cafes and quaint country towns right at your finger tips. Campground has shared facilities and respect of each other and the land is critical. We are a leave no trace site, which means everything you bring in you must take with you, which includes rubbish and broken things. The bins at the entrance are for residents only and as they are only collected fortnightly cannot cater for more than those who live here. Firewood can be brought in by you or we will provide wood for $30/night per site. Wood is not to be foraged from adjoining scrub as it is Heritage listed and to be left for habitat, ecosystem and your admiration only! We look forward to crossing paths! Located on 25 acres of beautiful bushland, a chestnut tree grove and paddocks with stunning views you will find our magical retreat. There are 4 sites to choose from, all peaceful spots with an abundance of natural wildlife plus a family of deer who often visit. We are just 15 minutes drive from Mount Lofty where you can enjoy some of the many trails available and see cascading waterfalls, scenic gorges and lush fern gullies brimming with bush birds and wildflowers. There are a number of great wineries in the area all with excellent wines and local produce you can enjoy. We also have several gin distilleries. We are a short walk to Wotton's Scrub (Kenneth Stirling Conservation Park) and close to Hahndorf, Oakbank and Stirling. Campers must be self contained with their own camping toilet and water and take all rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week, and a lovely clothing Boutique, Sassy Lass, is also open most days. Tarlee Hotel has the best meals as well. Important Information to know before booking: All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead Wood can be delivered to your site for a small fee, but please let us know a few days before arrival if needing, so we can process your order, or your welcome to bring your own. Strictly no chainsaws on our properties please. We are fully off grid camping, so generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. Marron Bush Escape

Welcome to Marron Bush Escape, located in Gosse, in the Western River area (western end, near Flinders Chase National Park) of beautiful Kangaroo Island! This is a beautiful, remote, rural 250 acre private property, it is home to a number of sheep, features dams that have Marron and boasts the best that nature has to offer. Rest assured, you will not see any neighbours on this property; just picturesque landscapes everywhere you look! It is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Penneshaw, where you get off the ferry. We offer powered and unpowered camp sites, as well as a bush, cabin. Camp fires (small) are allowed when fire restrictions allow. There is a fire pit that can be used when there is no fire ban, with barbecue plate and camp ovens for old-style bush cooking or cooking up your fresh organic Kangaroo Island Marron. There is a drop toilet at the back and external lights and an external kitchen sink with hot and cold water. There is one drop dunny and limited rain water (you are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you need extra). For your convenience, there are recycling and rubbish bins at corner of Snug and Colman’s Rd for all waste disposal. On half of our property we have sheep and lambs in the paddocks. Bring your camera, and you just might be lucky enough to see little lambs playing and even being born. We may also be shearing and invite you to see how this is done. The other half of the property is untouched natural scrub with grass and trees 12 foot tall. There are koalas, eagles, kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and lots of other native animals and a creek with small waterfalls. In winter time the ground can be boggy, so a 4WD is desirable and will allow you to explore further. From the cabin, make your way down past the dams and go through the shiny gate at the bottom of the hill (please close the gate behind you). Here, you'll discover 125 acres of untouched Kangaroo Island wilderness with walking trails to explore. Keep an eye out for koalas, kangaroos, wedge-tail eagles, wallabies, large grass trees etc We also have two small lakes that you can have a picnic by or drop some Marron nets in for a fresh feed. There are weighing scales provided at the shed so you can pay for them. This is on an honesty system- so please do the right thing, as we have already been burnt from the fires. You must contact me if you wish to fish for marron prior to catching any. There are no shops or restaurants close by (stock up before arriving!) and you will need to travel down dirt roads but you will really have the opportunity to get off the grid, get back to nature and make memories in the stunning, untouched, Kangaroo Island wilderness! Situated on 100 acres 5km north of Robe town, and a very very short drive (or 2km walk) to beautiful Long Beach, the Robe Camel Farm is in the perfect location. Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar. You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. The Hay Valley Farm is perched on a ridge that looks west towards Mount Lofty and east towards Murray Bridge. We have stunning views from both sides of the ridge and in particular we get beautiful sunrise and sunset views. We are a working farm with a vineyard, orchard and livestock. Our farm is also situated right in the heart of the Adelaide Hills Wine region so we really do have the best of both worlds; stunning views & peaceful surroundings plus amazing wineries, restaurants, cafes and quaint country towns right at our finger tips. Picture waking up to beautiful views of the Mount Lofty Ranges on one side, a stunning sunrise on the other and native birds singing sweetly all around you. At The Landing you'll be surrounded by big beautiful old gum trees in a peaceful farm setting. You'll see a variety of bird life, kangaroos and maybe even a koala or an echidna if you're lucky. The Landing is also situated right in the heart of the Adelaide Hills Wine region with amazing wineries, restaurants, cafes and quaint country towns right at your finger tips. Lot 100, Howard Vineyard, Murdoch Hill, Artwine, Bird In Hand Winery, Simon Tolley Wines and Barristers Block Wines are only a short drive away. So we really do have the best of both worlds; stunning views, peaceful surroundings and award winning wineries and eateries close by. And after a day of touring the region make sure you're back in time to watch the sun go down because the sunsets are spectacular. So don't forget to pack your comfy camp chair, a bottle of wine or beer, and a cheese platter and get ready to relax and unwind at The Landing at Hay Valley. Please read and note the following: 1) Please note our base price of $30 per night is based on two people per night, even if there is only one guest staying. It is an extra $15 per person per night for any additional adult guests or $10 per child per night. 2) We only book one group at a time at the site so if you book you'll have the whole area to yourself. 3) There are no toilet/shower facilities available so please be self sufficient. If you are staying longer than one night you need to bring your own portable chemical toilet please, as per Hipcamp’s rules. 4) There are sheep and friendly goats living on the site at the moment. The sheep won't bother you but the goats may come and say hello but shouldn't bother you. Please don't feed them as then they will pester you. 5) We do not issue refunds for bad weather. The Scrub Campsite - Inman Valley

Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top caravans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. All bookings will be cancelled if a severe or catastophic fire is forecast by the weather bureau. Campers can claim a refund from Hipcamp A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a solar and rocket shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. (Keen Road entrance) Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 10pm. Noisy campers has been my biggest complaint so please respect others and adhere to the policy. Children must be supervised at all times. Please note that a fenced off dam is located near the campsite and is out of bounds to all children unless supervised by an adult. Rubbish must be removed by all campers as no bins are available. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024.
