We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the family bush cabin at Hope Valley. Anita is a very kind and hospitable host and the property is great to explore and to see animals including both domesticated and wild. The kids particularly enjoyed the animals and playing in and adventuring up and down the creek. The family cabin is well appointed and has everything we needed to make the stay a great one. You definitely need a 4WD to get up the driveway to the cabin itself. The outdoor hot tub (optional extra) is also great if of interest. Hope Valley is a great location to get away from it all and to relax - we hope to return again in the future. Very highly recommended.

4 nights at Turkey's Nest Rainforest Cottages

Absolutely gorgeous spot for a getaway and chance to unplug from the world and relax. Would highly recommend bringing a bunch of board games, a nice puzzle and face masks for the ultimate relaxing experience. Just note that the suite is attached to the main house and you will need to walk past their front door to get to and from. But Rose and Russel are lovely and the suite still felt private.

Great place! So quiet and peaceful. The house was very clean and well-equipped. Amenities and beaches are really close. 25 minutes to Bribie Island and other centres. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again.

3 nights at GG's Ranch & Retreat

My family and i absolutely loved our stay at GG's ranch. We spent four nights over the Christmas period. The cottages were clean and rustic. Large modern bathroom was a bonus. Kitchen was well equipped to cook up our Christmas feast. Our grandson and pets loved the wide open spaces. One of our highlights was sitting on the deck each morning and watching the many black cockatoos flying over. We would love to return one day.

My family and I had such a nice relaxing time on the farm, We hired a cabin for our grandparents and all the young ones camped next to the cabin, Had everything we needed, We loved the pool and the chickens the most 😊 Karen was only a txt message away if we had any questions.

Weekend Trip to Bellthorpe Stays

We had a great time at Bellthorpe Stays. Dave was a welcoming and informative Host who was happy to tell us about the property, walks, and wildlife. The property offers many walking trails and has waterfalls and scenic views as well as a communal fire pit area, and the old dairy shed which is stocked with books, DVDs and games to borrow. The Host’s dogs were friendly and like taking guests on walks. We enjoyed feeding the birds on the deck in the mornings, especially the king parrots who ate from our hands. Such a peaceful setting filled with the sounds of birds and frogs.

Our family had such a wonderful weekend away at Anita’s beautiful property. It was so peaceful, we explored the area on foot, along the creek and also in our 4WD up to a lookout high on the ridge. The horses visited us at our cabin several times, which was a highlight. The cabin was so private we felt like we had the property to ourselves. Definitely need a 4WD! And the drive to Anita’s property is so beautiful too.

We loved staying at Shanlyn farm for a quiet and peaceful off grid hideaway. This was our second stay but the first at “Little Soho” which was a well appointed and comfortable vintage caravan with a deck, a view and an adjoining ensuite off the deck. The birdsong and general ambience was so calming and Lynne’s hospitality and generosity was wonderful! Including her homemade apple pie, fresh farm eggs and chutney, and the ever present sensitive touches that she sprinkles around the property. We got to pet and feed the donkeys, horses and cows and learn about her eco imprint in this world. Highly recommend you stay here, be it in a dome or caravan. Recommend you book a reiki treatment or meditate at the dromedan , or do yoga at sunrise on the Sataya deck or just walk and enjoy the property. Everything is authentically and sustainably operating for the greater good of the environment and the animals and gardens under Lynne’s gentle care. You won’t be disappointed and we will be back!!

It’s a lovely place to relax, and we had a great time there. There were sheep and alpacas right outside our yard. We also went fishing at the dam — didn’t catch anything, but the sunset was absolutely divine. Recommend for families with young kids.
