A cleared grass/gravel paddock close to everything Maroochydore, Coolum and the Sunshine Coast has to offer! Our land backs onto the Maroochy River (no direct access but the boat ramp is less than 5 minute drive away) and each site is sheltered by tall trees. There are 3 defined sites with plenty of room for privacy and escape in nature. Bring your own push bike or walking shoes to explore the mangroves and bushland. We have an abundance of native wildlife and it’s a good idea to bring mozzie/insect repellent. We do have plenty of firewood available although if it’s been raining it will be best to BYO wood. We have a communal fire pit you can use (please don't camp on the grass near the fire pit). We kindly ask all campers to be 100% self-sufficient as we do not have any waste, water, or power facilities. You carry it in you carry it out. Our site is 2WD friendly although once again if it's been raining it's best to stick to the gravel roads. Please message me if you have any questions! To keep us all safe, we have some VERY IMPORTANT notes: Please stay on the gravel roads - there are deep holes and drains hidden by long grass on neighbouring blocks. These can cause damage to vehicles and you will need a tow truck to be recovered. Bring your pets, please keep them close as we have no fences.

Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush, so you may feel like you are the only ones there. Campfires in the provided fire pit or drum only. Due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush, so you may feel like you are the only ones there. Campfires in the provided fire pit or drum only. Due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the family bush cabin at Hope Valley. Anita is a very kind and hospitable host and the property is great to explore and to see animals including both domesticated and wild. The kids particularly enjoyed the animals and playing in and adventuring up and down the creek. The family cabin is well appointed and has everything we needed to make the stay a great one. You definitely need a 4WD to get up the driveway to the cabin itself. The outdoor hot tub (optional extra) is also great if of interest. Hope Valley is a great location to get away from it all and to relax - we hope to return again in the future. Very highly recommended.

Hope Valley is a beautiful place to camp. We stayed at Pilgrims Rest site, and we were right on the edge of the creek. The separation of the sites in my opinion is fantastic. I couldn't hear anything other than the sound of nature and the creek flowing. The drive in along Amamoor Creek Road has some great views, but be aware of livestock as they can sit pretty close to edge of the road. Anita is a great host. She stopped in and said hello shortly after we arrived. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place at all. This was our first Hipcamp experience and I'm glad I chose this one as a starting point. Thank you Anita.

We stayed at The Ridge site and it was a beautiful spot with breathtaking views. Great for family & with a dog. Tony was a good communicator, very welcoming & helpful. 10/10 - definitely recommend a visit.

It was a very enjoyable 2 nights we spent camping at Tony’s property. My friends and i all don’t live close together and having a great camp site to spend some quality time together was great. Camp was clean, and toliet were provided which was great for the girls!!

This was our second time staying at Rustic Resort, but beside the dam this time. Beautiful location right beside the dam, lovely flat patch to set up camp on. Toilet amenities were clean. We loved watching the cows graze on the hill, and the wildlife/birdlife. My dog particularly loved swimming in the dam to cool down - as did we! And as always, it was lovely to have the hostess, Doris, popped in for a chat. Given this little peace of paradise is just 4t mins from home, it makes for a great getaway and we will most definitely be back! Thanks for having us again, Peter & Doris!

This is a great little camping spot, well maintained and quiet. The creek space is great, and I imagine with a little more rain people wouldn't leave. We booked a second night.
