On our 28 acre property you have access to an extremely large dam for your water toys ( non powered) and mowed walking tracks all over the property. Campers must be self contained with their own toilet. Kangaroos are everywhere and an abundance of birdlife have the 2nd very large dam all to themselves. The site provides complete privacy and peace and quiet except for the bird song. The Heritage township of Childers is 5 minutes away by car, Woolies, restaurants as well as a main street that is very worth while walking down. Great coffee shops and interesting old Hotels. We have a beautiful hobby farm on 2 and a half acres. Camping is at the front of the property where you will find vegie gardens and fruit trees. There is also a fire pit (plenty of firewood available), a trampoline and a games shed with toilet, shower and kitchenette facilities. Yes we live on the property and the campsite is in the front yard, however we do not infringe on your space at your campsite or the amenities area - these are yours and yours only whilst camping here. We do not double book our sites, it is strictly 1 group at a time. Pets are welcome for a small fee of $5 per pet per booking. If you are bringing a fur baby or 2 with you please add the Pet Fee into your booking via the EXTRAS tab. You can purchase free range eggs in half dozen and full dozen when available. Please ask on check-in. 200m to boat ramp with river perfect for water skiing, jet skiing, tubing and freshwater fishing (licence required as this is a stocked impoundment). On opposite side of river is Sandy Hook Boat Club where major water skiing and power boat races are held throughout the year. Located between Bundaberg and Gin Gin. Bundaberg has attractions such as the Bundy Rum Distillery, Ginger Beer Factory, a free zoo, Mon Repos Turtle Centre, lower Great Barrier Reef cruises to Lady Musgrave Island for snorkelling, great beaches some with 4WD access. Gin Gin is on the main highway to head north or south. Easy access from here to National Parks for walks and 4WDing. Being a hobby farm we have livestock in a paddock in the backyard. If you would like to join us for feeding in the afternoons please ask on arrival. Feeding happens between 4 and 6pm depending on time of year. We also have chickens that free range around the campsite at the front of the property who will happily take any of your scraps.
