- Send some golf balls into space
-The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks
-Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water.
-Push bikes,
Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also.
-Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye
-Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :)
-Take it easy.

Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond.
Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around.
Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire at additional cost for your stay, please message for pricing.
Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged.
Dog friendly, however ALL dogs must be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY, but may be subject to fire bans.
Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim.

Tucked away on a small hobby farm backing directly onto Sheep Station Conservation Park, this is a peaceful, no-frills spot for guests who enjoy the simple things in life. You’ll be sharing the property with four sheep, three silky chickens, two cheeky geese, and a friendly alpaca — plus our three young boys.
There is a bathroom (cold water only) and small kitchenette available up at the "shed". A fire pit is available for your use, with plenty of firewood available. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash due to the farm animals and surrounding conservation area. Please make sure you always shut the gate when coming and going to prevent our sheep wondering off the farm. Please note that the dam is more for scenery than swimming.

A cleared grass/gravel paddock close to everything Maroochydore, Coolum and the Sunshine Coast has to offer! Our land backs onto the Maroochy River (no direct access but the boat ramp is less than 5 minute drive away) and each site is sheltered by tall trees. There are 3 defined sites with plenty of room for privacy and escape in nature. Bring your own push bike or walking shoes to explore the mangroves and bushland. We have an abundance of native wildlife and it’s a good idea to bring mozzie/insect repellent.
We do have plenty of firewood available although if it’s been raining it will be best to BYO wood. We have a communal fire pit you can use (please don't camp on the grass near the fire pit).
We kindly ask all campers to be 100% self-sufficient as we do not have any waste, water, or power facilities. You carry it in you carry it out.
Our site is 2WD friendly although once again if it's been raining it's best to stick to the gravel roads. Please message me if you have any questions!
To keep us all safe, we have some VERY IMPORTANT notes:
Please stay on the gravel roads - there are deep holes and drains hidden by long grass on neighbouring blocks. These can cause damage to vehicles and you will need a tow truck to be recovered.
Bring your pets, please keep them close as we have no fences.

We stayed at camps 3L, 3R & 4, all beautifully mowed sites, all with water views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Christmas Creek Bush Retreat, it wasn’t overcrowded and the site are really spacious so your not camped on top of your neighbors, it was very peaceful.
The hosts Caralyn & Dave are very lovely, friendly and helpful. Thanks again Caralyn & Dave we’ll be back. Happy new year 🎆

The sites are a good size with plenty of space for a caravan and tent camping without being crowded. They are also well maintained with good grass underfoot. The creek is great to cool off or have a fish in. You must be self contained though with toilet and shower facilities. Overalls great place for a break with a pleasant backdrops.

What a lovely camp site and the owners are fabulous. They came down everyday and made sure everything was ok, and if we needed any firewood (only $15 for a huge bag). Lovely creek to sit in to cool down on a hot day. Will be back.

Without a doubt, I’ll be going back! The Train Station was such a phenomenal spot. A good sized flat clearing tucked high above the world with the most spectacular views. The track to the site was super fun and a little more challenging than expected! A capable 4WD is a must as there are a few rocky step ups. No, your AWD Tesla will not make it.
You pass signs to other sites but you can’t see or hear them at all, you feel totally separated from the world!
Book the trip, you will not regret it!! 🙌🏼

We decided to go to Christmas Creek bush retreat for our very first Caravan trip. My husband and I with our dog absolutely loved it. The sites were spacious with lots of room, not over crowded, and all sites face the beautiful Creek that is full of turtles, and has platypus (we didn't see them). We liked that it was off grid with no water or power as we wanted to try out our van to see how everything worked, and it was great. I would recommend this site if you want some peace and quiet. The whole site is so well maintained by the owners who live close by and it's an easy 40 minute drive from Beaudesert.

We had such a wonderful stay at Gums. The site was private, peaceful, and a really decent size, giving us plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. The property is clearly very well looked after, and the added gazebo with chairs and tables was such a bonus, perfect for meals, shade, and winding down in the afternoons.
It’s a beautiful escape so close to Brisbane, yet it feels like you’re a world away. We’ll definitely be back!
