River Beach
Weekend at River Beach
A last minute change with another campground closed due to wet weather saw us camp at River Beach campsite for a weekend, which was a welcome surprise when we arrived to find it mostly level with nice green grass, with the creek nearby which was running when we were there after days of storms and heavy rains. It was surprisingly dry with the site well draining, although the access track in was a bit wet in places which was excpected, and as we were towing 2.5t of offroad caravan had to be carefull not to get bogged in the wet areas of the flat near the site. Very quiet and private site, although you can here the traffic through the trees but barely noticeable. The creek and beach would be awesome to cool off in when not running and dirty like when we were there, but went for a quick swim anyway to check out the beach. We had firewood waiting at camp when we arrived after adding it in the extras of booking, and was great just to sit around the fire and watch the storms and rain go around us while admiring the awesome scenery of this beautiful property.

Squatters Rocks
Beautiful spot! We actually ended up staying at the yards as there is a bit of an embankment to get to the track to squatters rock and we wrecked our caravan step trying to get over it. The hosts were great and gave us another spot on the hill

Dog Leg
We loved camping here, super quiet and spread out sites. We loved walking through the creek and watching the many stars at night. Would love to come back, so close to Brisbane too.

Cattleman's corner
Perfect and private
Absolutely loved out stay over the weekend, was a bit hot but had just enough water in the creek to cool off, especially the 4 legged friends. Will definitely be back and hopefully a bit more flowing water to play with.. Thanks for letting us stay…
