Weefarm Brisbane River Camping

9 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Fairney View, QLD
'Weefarm' is situated on a picturesque bend of the Brisbane River near Fernvale and is accessible by 4WD only. Kids are free to 17 so if you have children between 12-17, please include them in the "children" booking. We provide an exclusive booking for you on absolute river frontage for tents and camper trailers. Spend your time swimming, fishing, canoeing or simply sipping a cold drink on the pontoon under the umbrella. With an easterly aspect you’ll want to spend the morning swimming or exploring the riverscape and when the afternoon shade sets in light the campfire and put your feet up. There is no vehicular boat ramp but still excellent access for other small watercraft. Due to the steep track to the camp area we insist on 4WD’s only - though you can walk down if feeling energetic! Please bring drinking water and a desire to leave the riverside just as you found it. We have enough room for around 20 people in tents or camper trailers. Portaloo toilet available at the campsite. Campfires are permitted in the circle but please be mindful of any restrictions. You can purchase firewood from us if needed. Dogs are also welcome but must stay with you at all times. Please let us know they are coming as well.

Lake Hagislea Farm

1 site · RV80 acres · Haigslea, QLD
Exclusive private site on our 80acre WORKING* property just off the Warrego Highway at Haigslea. *(Please note as we are 1km off the highway there is subsequent highway noise, we are immune to it, but as anything, some people may notice more than others. We are a working small rural property so with that comes seasonal tractoring/trucks and an element of busy, depending on what projects are on the go! Real taste of rural life while being smack bang in the privacy and serenity of our buzzing property!) Private gate access for self check in and checkout. The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore. The site is flat and mowed, with easy access from the road for caravans. The 'Quack shack" is home to our 12 friendly range Geese who spend their days exploring the banks or swimming on the water. The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels. Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.) The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!) The recent addition of our feature windmill makes for gorgeous photos and country feels. The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops. We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!) **Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or our free range geese that call the campsite home.** Please be very conscious of this when thinking of bringing any animals as our geese wander around the dam perimeter and over to the campsite to say hi. (hand raised and friendly, just very vocal!) Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club. Guests will be able to see them fly around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club. During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globemasters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply. A basic long drop outhouse is set up for guest use. Fire pit and picnic table for use. Please leave no trace and take all rubbish with you. An information email will be sent a few days prior to your arrival containing all your checkin and checkout information. Perfect for a place to hideaway and relax for a staycation (40 minutes from Brisbane) or a base to explore the surroundings. Follow our Instagram: @lakehaigsleafarm for updates and photos! LOCALS GOUGE: - For families, the Ewenique hobby farm is located roughly 500m up the road. Check out their facebook page, a good activity for the kids on the weekends. - Perfect spot to explore all our little country towns from. Fernvale is only a short drive, the famous Fernvale bakery is a must. - Check out discover Ipswich for whats on or around. Many great local pubs and things to see and do! PLEASE NOTE: ** PRICING - $50.00 per night per vehicle (caravan/camper, this includes 4 people.) As it is advertised as 1 SITE FOR ONE CARAVAN/CAMPER, booking options don't include adding an extra camper or family group. We are happy to have guests camp with other friends or family (max 5 caravans/campers on site) ON REQUEST. To do this, please select the extra caravan option (under extras) when booking. Please note that it is $50 per night per camper/caravan so you will need to add the extra twice if it is for two nights (or 4 times if booking for 2 extra caravans/campers for two nights etc.) Please send me a message if you have any questions, as the booking selection options don't have the capability to reflect adding extra campers to a single booking site as of yet. * No parties or large gatherings, but happy for small friend or family groups *

Dalla Nature Reserve

1 site · Tent104 acres · Ocean View, QLD
***4WD A MUST*** Welcome to our nature reserve on Mt Mee! We are located just an hour's drive from Brisbane CBD, positioned right next to the D'Aguilar range and 10km from D'Aguilar National Park. We have been working hard for nearly nine years to preserve it's natural beauty and ecological integrity. The property is over 100 acres and encompasses rainforest, wet sclerophyll, native grasslands and waterways (including a waterfall!). Numerous streams run through the property, one of which is just meters away from your campsite. One weekend will not be enough to fully explore this amazing sanctuary. The property is at the intersection of three wildlife corridors. Many species of flora and fauna call this place home including over one-hundred species of bird, pretty faced wallaby, koala, sugar gliders, native water rats, bandicoots, and echidnas. Ideally suited to those who are curious, respectful of nature and enjoy experiences off the beaten track. Get in early and have the place to yourselves before we add more campsites! ***Guests will need their own camping toilet and will need to take their waste with them*** ***4WD is a must*** There are some ticks around at the moment. It is recommended that you bring insect repellant. If you do get a tick, it is recommended not to pull it right out as some of the mouthparts can get stuck in you. We put some scabies cream on them and leave it there for a few hours, then carefully tweezer them out. We can supply you with some cream if needed. Close by: -15 minute drive from Dayboro -5 minute drive from Ocean View Winery -10 minutes from Pitstop Cafe -D’aguilar National Park roughly 10km away via a beautiful scenic drive (home to the endangered Richmond Birdwing Butterfly)

Logan Park Farm is an historic 4th generation family farm with beef cattle and cropping set on the Logan River with beautiful surroundings in the Scenic Rim. The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. "Murphy's" is a newly renovated three bedroom cottage which was once part of Tamrookum Homestead built by Robert Collins and family in the 1860s. It is now a lovely reincarnation of times gone by with a flourish of modern amenities, including indoor dining with modern kitchen appointments, outdoor dining and barbecue, full laundry and comfortable bathroom.Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings.
