Omadale Brook offers creek side camping at its best! Crystal clear, snow laced water, with amazing vista, wildlife a plenty and serenity. Find a peaceful place at Omadale Brook to camp and relax off grid. Great to stop and unwind or use as a base camp for 4WD to explore the stunning Barrington Tops including the famous Aussie Ark. The Historical Victoria Hotel is located just 13kms down the road, in Moonan Flat. Omadale is a historical Brook (nee Creek for those not of Scottish decent), originating in the heart of the Barrington Tops at Pole Blue, flowing down to meet the mighty Hunter River, the camp site is located at the bottom of the Brook just before it meets the Hunter River. You can set up on either site as a group or simply as a single camper.

Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. The site contains van parking, an open pavilion, an open deck by the stream, a fire pit, and a dunny. It is private and secluded, and with just one group staying at a time, you are guaranteed the space to yourselves. Please go straight ahead on Collins Ave and enter through the car entrance, NOT the truck entrance which is off to the right. If you come in the truck entrance I can't see you. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people. You are also welcome to bring a couple of horses! There's a safe paddock with a trough and nice trails in the area to explore. The Kulnura General Store and bottleshop is just 9km down the road for basic supplies.

Peaceful Pond is our 10-acre property in bushland, just 15 minutes from the village of Karuah, NSW. The pond has an island, reached via a floating bridge. Enjoy the tranquility of listening to the abundant birdlife, or swim in the cool, clear water, among the waterlilies. If you prefer more activity you can paddle a kayak or go for a bush walk. There are pushbikes available to ride through the bush tracks to the river, if you feel energetic. You may see wallabies and kangaroos, goannas, and even echidnas. The dark night skies are ablaze with stars for you to enjoy. Tim and Vicki will welcome you, point out your site, and give you access to drinking water from their rainwater tank. We offer several camping sites tucked around the property. All for self-contained campers, with no access to power or running water, so campers must have their own toilet. Fires are permitted in firepits provided when weather and fire ratings allow. Firewood is provided free of charge. Pets are welcome, as long as they are on a lead or under close control, to ensure the safety of the wildlife. Relax, unwind, and listen to the sounds of nature.

We loved our short stay! The site was clean and well maintained. We were able to use the bikes onsite to explore the area and there was firewood for us to use. Would definitely stay again!

Easy to find following google maps to the address provided, from there very well and obviously signed, which also correlates to instructions on booking. Host and family were very welcoming and kind. Campsite by the pond was freshly mowed and very well maintained. Kids had a blast playing on the island and the floating bridge to it. Dogs had equally as excellent time swimming in the pond. Just provided a wheelbarrow of firewood FOC. Several other campsites occupied but you wouldn’t know it after sunset. 10/10 would stay again when in the area.

Perfect place for family’s and dogs great access to the river great open space to camp, they have setup a perfect area with everything hammock fire pit chairs rods and a survival bucket plenty of firewood and even complementary marshmellows

I camped for a night at Platypus Bend with my cousin and her two dogs and the dogs had an absolute ball running free and in and out of the creek. Dane's communication was great, there was plenty of firewood provided and also some complimentary marshmallows which was a sweet touch. It's a nice private site for a little camping getaway.

Plenty of space for car campers or tents!

We loved camping at Platypus Bend, it was lovely to be surrounded by just the sounds of nature with no-one else around. We are pretty sure we had a visit from a Wombat in the middle of the night. There were all sorts of games onsite for our use and will definitely be booking again.

2nd time we have been here. Love the serenity. Like that we saw finch's deer kangaroo and platypus. Bella loved the freedom, will be back. Would recommend this site to anyone wanting a peaceful private retreat

Fantastic spot with plenty of privacy and time to enjoy nature. We had a cattle dog who's is reactive and were able to let him off leash during the day, he was tied up at night and left alone by Cath's dogs. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get away and spend some peaceful time in nature.

It’s a beautiful spot! Very private and full of wildlife and wonder. Loved the ease with which we could make a campfire and enjoy a beautiful outdoor experience. Owner was also very helpful but not at all intrusive.
