This hangout has golden beaches, coast-to-lake walks, and day trip access to national parks.
Tucked between Shelly Beach and The Entrance along the southeast shore of Tuggerah Lake, Long Jetty is fast making a name for itself as one of the Central Coast’s coolest beach resorts. Just a 90-minute drive north of Sydney, the small town has a laid-back vibe, sweeping lake views, and plenty of ways to get on the water during a Long Jetty camping trip. Check into a lakeside campground with BBQ grills or a beachfront holiday park with full hookups, and spend your time swimming and surfing or watching the sunset from the namesake long jetty. Rugged coastal hikes and windswept surf beaches lie to the north and south in Wyrrabalong National Park, where you can also go bird-watching and spot migrating whales in winter. Further south, Bouddi National Park has eight beaches to choose from, and you can pitch your tent right by the beachfront, while Brisbane Water National Park has miles of hiking, biking, and kayaking trails.
