1 site · Tent, RV · Kulnura, NSW
Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. The site contains van parking, an open pavilion, an open deck by the stream, a fire pit, and a dunny. It is private and secluded, and with just one group staying at a time, you are guaranteed the space to yourselves. Please go straight ahead on Collins Ave and enter through the car entrance, NOT the truck entrance which is off to the right. If you come in the truck entrance I can't see you. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people. You are also welcome to bring a couple of horses! There's a safe paddock with a trough and nice trails in the area to explore. The Kulnura General Store and bottleshop is just 9km down the road for basic supplies.

4. Camp Third Paddock

5 sites · Tents, RVs · Cessnock, NSW
The Third Paddock is a little sanctuary at the edge of reality. Our 5-acre bush block is located in the Hunter Valley, just 90 minutes from Sydney. This isn’t your average campground. It’s an ever-changing experiment in sustainability, architecture, art, and community, built with a deep love for nature’s wild side. 🌳 What You’ll Find Here - A handful of bushland sites - Communal fire pit and grill for hearty meals - A shady dam that is home to lots of frogs - Optional hike-in sites for those wanting more privacy - Proximity to Laguna and Wollombi, where you'll find cafes, pubs, art galleries, wineries, and other local businesses– all within a 20-minute drive of our property - On the edge of Yango National Park with unlimited hikes Note: You'll know you've arrived when you see a colourful shed up the driveway. We are currently building a small cabin on the block, and we ask that you stay away from the building site.

5. Shady Acres Colo River

This property is a Pristine Riverfront property in Colo Valley. It is a tidal river with sandy shallow sandbars and 10ft deep swimming holes. There is an abundance of native animals here including bandicoots, kangaroos, lyre birds, lace monitors, platypus and more! Access is via a short dirt driveway to the riverfront camping area. The access is 2wd unless there has been significant rain it becomes 4wd access. We accommodate the larger groups just steps away from the river. We have 2 water entrances, one is a large grassed area with shallow water which is great for kids & families. The other entrance is a natural sandy entry with a deeper swimming area . We also have a beautiful lagoon area where I can arrange additional campers. We have built some new flushing toilets (3) with a hot water shower. We are very accommodating of your pets. We welcome dogs and can host horses in one of the paddocks. Please ensure you contact the host prior to your stay if you are bringing any pets Additional activities here include fishing, swimming, bushwalking, canoeing & birdwatching. We are also only a 5 minute drive to Colo Riverside Cafe. I look forward to meeting you soon!
