A beautiful eco-friendly property with lovely water holes and running water from the river where the environment is safe. Pitch your tent or drive in your camper van in a secluded area with lots of trees and natural environment where birds can wake you with their morning songs A beautiful stroll to the nearby river is a wonderful experience as you explore, swim, canoe, Kayak or float down the river (1.2 klm) in the beauty of nature around you. You can even throw a line in and you might catch a fish. There is a lovely covered platform you can sit on as you reflect. If you are quiet enough you might see a platypus or two or catch a fish. There are walking tracks or bike riding for kids, if you have a horse or pony you can bring them along too. How about a game of outdoors skittles or spot the native plants, pick a citrus fruit or maybe spot a wallaby, echidna, possum or laugh with the kookaburra's. There is a natural stone campfire where you can sit at night or meet other campers, or just to sit and gaze at the stars. Tales of the past might be spoken if asked. A great place to relax, spend family quality time together, uninterrupted by technology and you relive the Shalom-peace of nature, making memories that you will keep for a lifetime. The little quaint villages that surround Federal are great for a visit. Top of the World

10 sites · RVs, Tents56 acres · Horseshoe Creek, NSW
Look for the big red letterbox with the blue flag on the right. This spot is for people that think that they are the only ones left in the world. Once at the top, it's yours to live in peace and quiet. 56 acres of undulating hills covered with native bush land, with 10 cleared sites for you to set up camp. If you like an adventure then this mountain is for you. 2 sites called "Top of the world tent site 1 and tent site 2" are accessible by 4WD only (tent camping is advised) There is a step 19 degree road up to the penthouse summit thats at 1000ft. However if it is dry you can tow a camping trailer but only if you have a winch. If it rains the only way down is backwards tethered to trees via your winch. It's an adventure. Campers are welcome to have a campfire, there is plenty of timber on the ground that you can collect or bring your own. As long as there is no fire ban. There are some great bush walks you can enjoy, including down to the creek (about a 40 min walk). The creek is picturesque with lemon trees and peach trees along the edge while in season. There are 2 sites down at the creek called Firefly's and platypus and these are for off road self contained 4x4 campers and those with a tent. The creek is pristine and crystal clear unless it's raining. These 2 sites are absolutely private if you book them both. If you don't mind sharing the creek with another camper then you only need to book 1 site. There is also a 10 month of the year 30 metre high waterfall (depending on rain fall this waterfall can vary from massive water to slow water) and another seasonal waterfall. Don't forget the dam for swimming with the spa tub and fresh mountain spring water constantly flowing into it from an inch and a half poly pipe constantly overflowing into the dam. The water in the creek is safe to drink with no filter needed. The creek is running and crystal clear and very private. If you are in a 2 wheel drive RV/ Motorhome you can book the "Paw Paw hill site" or "a dam good view" There is one site that is all grass accessible in the dry weather. Plenty of drinking water is also available at all sites either via a tap or the creek running water. All campers MUST HAVE their own portable toilet. If no portable toilet you can purchase one from many camping stores at a reasonable price before coming. Doing number 2 in the bush is totally unacceptable. Because this is a leave no trace camp site we do ask you to take all trash with you when you leave as well. There is no council rubbish collection in this area. We respect our beautiful paradise and we know you will appreciate it also. If you make a fire please leave it so I can mow around it once you leave. E.G Please remove all sticks.

Kentara Farm

1 site · RV, Tent110 acres · Tintenbar, NSW
Kentara Farm is a 3rd generation macadamia, cattle and lemon farm in the picturesque hinterland surrounding Byron Bay. Just 30mins from Byron Bay, 15mins from Lennox Head, 20mins to Ballina...Mt Warning, The Richmond River, Killen Falls, Byron Bay Light House, Watego Beach, Bangalow and The Bangalow Markets, Lake Ainsworth, The Macadamia Castle... I could go on and on about how much there is to see and do in this beautiful part of the world. But I won't. You'll just have to come and stay, and discover it for yourself! We have space, scenic views, abundant wildlife with a mix of peace and quiet and the slow but steady pace of a working farm. Your Camp Site... There are a few locations on farm you might like to camp, we can show you these at the time of meet and greet. Currently we are only taking one booking at time, so you won't be disturbed by other campers. Facilities... There are no 'public' facilities on farm. You'll need to bring your own everything e.g. toilet, shower, water... and you'll need to take your rubbish with you. There is a local dumping point at BP Ballina truck stop. Farm Life... Kentara is a working farm so there is always the chance you'll get woken by the sound of a mower, or one of the farm vehicles on its way to here or there. We try to start work fairly early to avoid the heat of the day. Farm Access... There is a gravel road as the main access to the farm making getting into and out of camping spot a breeze. Parties... If you are looking for a party location, this NOT the Hip Camp for you. If you are looking for a quiet location, this IS the Hip Camp for you! Macadamia's t take home... Ask us about our Farm Gate Sales during harvest. Harvest typically runs between March - September. During this time we have 1kg, 2kg, 3kg.... right up to 20kg backs of nut in shell to sale direct to the public. Macadamia Trees.... Want your very own macadamia tree to take home? Ask us about this during your stay. We have some in propagation for purchase.

Riversong - Floating Tree Tent

1 site · Lodging4 acres · Beechmont, QLD
A beautiful piece of remnant forest on the bank of the Nerang River, with a swimming hole that is second to none. The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. The site has a compact outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator, an outdoor hot shower, a firepit and a separate composting toilet. Sails are rigged above the tent to provide extra shade and shelter. It's private and shady but only a few minutes from the house. The valley is a gem, only 200 odd people live here. If you love the outdoors - either just to chill or to actively recreate - this place is for you. As an outdoor educator, I have worked and played in the valley and surrounds for more than 25 years and I'm still discovering new things to see and do! Advancetown Lake is a short drive away with paddling, sailing and fishing and no power boats or jetskis (Yeeha!!) There is a mountain bike park on the E side of the dam. You can walk from here to Springbrook and Lamington National Parks and the glow worms at Natural Bridge are a night time "must see".
