A beautiful eco-friendly property with lovely water holes and running water from the river where the environment is safe. Pitch your tent or drive in your camper van in a secluded area with lots of trees and natural environment where birds can wake you with their morning songs. A beautiful stroll to the nearby river is a wonderful experience as you explore, swim, canoe, Kayak or float down the river (1.2 klm) in the beauty of nature around you. You can even throw a line in and you might catch a fish. There is a lovely covered platform you can sit on as you reflect. If you are quiet enough you might see a platypus or two or catch a fish. There are walking tracks or bike riding for kids, if you have a horse or pony you can bring them along too. How about a game of outdoors skittles or spot the native plants, pick a citrus fruit or maybe spot a wallaby, echidna, possum or laugh with the kookaburra's. There is a natural stone campfire where you can sit at night or meet other campers, or just to sit and gaze at the stars. Tales of the past might be spoken if asked. You can hear the night birds and owls. If you are lucky you will see fire fly in the right season. A great place to relax, spend family quality time together, uninterrupted by technology and you relive the Shalom-peace of nature, making memories that you will keep for a lifetime. The little quaint villages that surround Federal are great for a visit. If you want the best sushi in the area then stop at the popular Doma Cafe next to the general store in Federal, you will want to visit more than once after your taste buds have been awakened. Byron bay is a 15-20 min drive on a scenic drive, or visit the biggest little town in Australia Mullumbimby a 15-18 min drive. Bangalow and Lennox heads, Lovely beaches at Brunswick Heads or Ocean Shores are all within 35 min drive the choice is yours. Magical Minyon Falls with its powerful and wonderful waterfalls and uninhabited valley is a must. Don't forget to go bushwalking while you are there. There are also other national parks like mount Jerusalem that are close by. The farm does have orchards and bee hives. Slashing and planting of vegetables will be happening soon everything is organic. If you would like to purchase some organic farm jam just let me know. The stone wall entrance was constructed at the turn of last century and you feel like you have stepped back in time as you imagine those who came across the area as they were amazed at what the area had to offer. Remember it is the Australian bush so there could be snakes just. as there is with all bush in Australia about depending on the time of the year. There is a first aid kit on the property. The local hospital is in Byron 15 minute drive away. A toilet is coming soon and should be completed in the next 2 weeks or less.. We have had a celebrity stay for a weekend so you never know who you will see. There are celebrities that live in Federal so you may bump into one. The Federal store is where we will meet you as you follow us into the property. If you arrive on a Saturday, as it is the busiest of days for us, the times for meeting is with anywhere up to 9:30am or 5:45-6pm. Please let us know which time you prefer. Every other day is flexible with time for meeting. Enjoy your unique time here we are so happy to have you come and stay with us.

Great location!
Jessica was a great host! She came and met us to lead us into the campsite. Was a shame we could only check in late when it was dark but it's in a great location, close to Minyon Falls!

An idyllic weekend in Nature
We camped in swags and a tent in an idyllic site with plenty of shade, lots of space and a symphony of bird song to wake us each morning. We refreshed ourselves and played in the creek, and our dog enjoyed herself to exhaustion each day! Going unplugged for 3 days was blissful. Jessica was super helpful leading up to our stay and made everything so easy while we were there, providing just enough support and space. We'll be back!

I have been to Jessica’s place a few times now and always love staying there, the creek is huge and great for cooling off in warm weather and her property has a really nice rainforesty feel with multiple sites to chose from. She also sells lovely jams and butters. Would highly recommend. (Maybe just bring mosquito repellent if you come after rain). I’ll be back soon, thanks Jessica!

I actually don't want to leave a review because I want to keep this place secret...but Jess is such a great host and the location so epic that it deserves to be shared. If you are looking for a properly serene and authentic place to escape, then this is it. Jessica was about the best host I have met. Thanks Jessica. Be back soon.

Nature Stay
Beautiful off grid camping nestled in the Byron Bay hinterlands. There are many sites to choose from, each extremely peaceful and relaxing, with the only noise being from birdsong. There is a lovely creek where you can relax on the property. Jessica is a lovely lady, who is full of knowledge and deep love for the land which she is happy to share.
