Nestled discretely in the forest adjacent to the area where the animals are, you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere even though you are less than a 5-minute walk from your car! Looking for something a bit more remote and spectacular? Hike a half-mile to the Big Sky Tent Deck. An incredible vista awaits you for a little effort! Need gear? The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional lifestyle. Boulder Brook

The access road is a nice gravel .6 mile long road that is not maintained in the Winter. There is firewood for sale via Venmo right in the parking area, $6 per bundle. There is also a nice outhouse. The sites have tent platforms and fire pits. There is quick access to the Rockingham Recreational Trail, which is ideal for walking, mountain biking, and exploring. Take the 25 minute drive down to Lincoln and travel the amazing Kancamagus Scenic Byway (Route 112). This is 56 miles through the White Mountains with no gas stations, so you might want to top off while in Lincoln. Twenty minutes east you can get to the Mount Washington Cog Railway and will pass the Mount Washington Hotel on the way. Fifteen minutes south and you can be at Franconia Notch State Park.

My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look! Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? To get to your reserved site go around the red shed and follow the mowed path through the field until it splits into three paths. Site one is to the left. Site 2 the middle path. Site 3 and 4 are the right path.
