Some states have a park with celeb status, while some instead ride on the down low and pleasantly shock those who happen upon it. Temperance River State Park is one of those shock and awe places. It's time to add another point on your roadtrip itinerary, and you sure won’t regret it.

Reveling in the morning sunset from your campsite along the shores of Lake Superior is just the beginning. Next comes the exploration. Take a journey to the mouth of the Temperance River for the unique experience of watching it flow into the lake. Then, find waterfalls, gorges, and peaks scattered throughout the park that will undoubtably take your breath away over and over again. A new addition to the park is Carlton Peak, popular with the hikers and rock climbers. Peep distinct rock formations from the multiple bridges along the gorge. Go on, give your eyes and hearts a treat and head to Temperance River.
